I did a little bit of research on the is topic earlier and was copletely convinced.
I decide to stop eating wheat mainly because my friend Carol, who is a nutritionist said that it might help me with my stomach problems. Her suggestion was to stop eating it for 2 weeks and then reintroduce it and watch if there is a reaction.

I stopped eating wheat, which is the only cooked this I was eating at the time, and started eating 100% raw. I had many wonderfull benefits, but my stomach problems did not get any better. Now after 2 months I had wheat a few times with no adverse reaction. I am a little confused now, not so conviced that grains are "evil" anymore.

I know that some people have wheat and grain allergies that cause digestive or mental symptom, but on the other hand, others are alergic/intollerant of some fruits. (me). Citrus fruit, strawberries & tomatoes are common alergens. Nuts seem to be a common alegens too.

Another agrument is that grains were introduced to human diet relatively late in our evolutionary history, but that in itself is not a convincing argument. People who support the evolution theory also claim that the anchient people who ate meat were the healthiest. (But then again, how exactly did they know what the peope ate?)

I do know on some level that it is best to avoid grains, I am just not as convinced as I once was. Please help me see the light! If any of you own any "anti grain" books, do you mind sharing some of the info?

Hi there,

Grains are not human food. This biggest evidence is that they are not palatable in thier natural state. You should read "Grain Damage" by Dr Graham, you can get it pretty cheap on amazon.com. There is also some good info on Dr Mercola's website about why grains are bad, just don't listen to any of the rest of what he has to say. :-)

All the best,
