Keeping Apples Longer

GirlSmiley suggested a link to BackHomeMagazine and while I was there I looked through their articles. Here is a really great one on storing apples. When I was a girl, my grandmother kept apples, potatoes, onions, carrots, rutabagas, turnips all winter long this way. We had a cellar, but a cool place on the porch will work just as well. I've also kept pears, which are picked when green, this way.
