Does anyone have any good christmas recipes to share?

im also wondering if you guys can give me some ideas of what to prepare for christmas dinner - yes i know its a few weeks away but id like to start planning.
I dont want to make fake turkey/gravy/mashed potatoes, because i never liked those foods, so i wouldnt try to replicate for a raw version.

thanks in advance!

I'll be making the fake turkey dinner, followed by christmas pudding, but I never really liked real turkey dinners or christmas puddings so whether raw or cooked this isn't my idea of a special feast. So I'm going to be making christmas dinners on other days too.

What I'd really like for Christmas is Juliano's Pasta Marinara - red Italian sauces are my favourite food, and this one looks very festive. It's quite time consuming to make so I only make it on special occasions, yet it doesn't require dehydrating so can be whipped up just before its made.

On Boxing Day I'll be making Juliano's Meatloaf - its coated with a red barbecue sauce so looks quite festive, and nut roast is the traditional vegetarian christmas dinner so this is appropriate.

I'm also going to make some recipes I would never make usually because they're time consuming and/or dehydrated, and I usually don't eat dehydrated food.

Such as:

onion rings
Alissa's BBQ chicken
Matthew Kenney's Lasagne
Pizza
onion bread
challah bread
Italian almond bread
Australian Country Bread
corned beef hash
cottage pie
devilled eggs
bacon
some kind of Pot Pie - maybe with sausages in the filling
Blueberry crepes
Samosas
Broccoli Soba in Spicy Almond Sauce
Eggplant Parmesan
calzone

also:
Festive Fungus
Chocolate cake
Chicken Soup
Mince Pies
Pesto Mushrooms
Crackers
Juliano's pumpkin seed cheese and almond flower cheese

It's in the Boutenko's book Eating without Heating. I've lost my book but I'll try to find the recipe on the internet....

This is another recipe, it's from www.rawguru.com

"Chicken" Soup for the Raw Soul
This soup is very cleansing and perfect for a chilly evening!
Broth:
2 cups warm water (100 degrees F.)
1/2 cup macnuts or almonds (soaked for 6 hrs.)
1 tsp. freshly ground celery seeds
1-2 whole black peppercorns
1/2 tsp. sea salt or to taste
1 sprig of fresh or dried thyme
1 tsp. fresh dill
1 tbs. olive oil
1/2 tsp. lemon juice

How to: Blend everything up until smooth, let this mixture sit for 5-10 mins then strain through a nut milk bag or a strainer. Warm it back up if you want and enjoy!

To make this a more heartier soup add the following:

2 tbs. carrot (fine dice)
2 tbs parsnip (fine dice)
1-2 tbs. sweet red onion (fine dice)
1 clove garlic (fine dice)
4 ****ake mushrooms (julienne)
2-3 tbs. broccoli florets

How to: Combine everything in a bowl, add a little salt to taste and scatter these veggies on teflex sheets and dehydrate for 4-6 hrs. (dehydrating will concentrate the flavors and remove some of the bitterness) Add this mixture to the broth and enjoy!

By God! You'll be a busy Bobbie! :D

Sorry, I couldn't resist...

Wow! Seriously, that sounds like quite a feast you'll be having. Can I come over?

My fave so far, in terms of marinara sauce, is Alissa's. I'm curious, though, about Juliano's. Would you mind sharing the recipe?

Many thanx

lol I realised I can't afford all that.
This was my intended menu:

Each meal served with Onion Bread or Mediterranean Almond Bread

Festive Fungus A Fish Dish (ala Italian Christmas Eve fish dinner) Fruit Salad

Corn Chowder BBQ Chicken, Onion Rings, Creamy Salad

Melon & Berries Lasagna Chocolate Mousse Pie

Christmas Eve:
Chicken Soup
Turkey, Stuffing, Sausage, Bacon, Cranberry Sauce, Mash, Gravy, Onion Rings, Sauerkraut, Pureed carrot, sweet potato, parsnip, marinated kale, green beans, sweetcorn, dehydrated butternut squash.
Christmas Pudding with sauce

Christmas Day:
Lunch - Leftovers from night before
Dinner - Pesto Mushrooms, Pasta Marinara, Blueberry Crepes with Banana Icecream and Chocolate Sauce

Boxing Day:
Breakfast - Bacon, Sausage and Devilled Eggs
Lunch - Turkey, Stuffing, Cranberry Sauce in Onion Bread sandwich
Dinner - Pesto Mushrooms Meatloaf, Onion Rings, leftover veg, Blueberry crepes

But I've realised I afford all that and I've lost half my recipe books so I don't know what I'm doing now!

Yesterday I made our first Christmas meal -
starter - pesto mushrooms
entree - hijiki (seaweed that looks like black spaghetti) with shazzie's ragu sauce with marinated mushrooms
dessert - chopped up bits of crepe with apricot sauce

Tonight will be Christmas Dinner -

soup (don't know what) with onion bread

Boutenko's un-turkey
ebook stuffing
sunflower sausages
eggplant bacon
cauli-mash
gravy
pureed sweet potato, carrot, parsnip
marinated kale
marinated broccoli, red pepper, onion
marinated chopped brussel sprouts
dehydrated green beans in tarragon pesto
dehydrated butternut squash (topped with tiny bit of brazil nut butter, honey & apricot sauce)
sweetcorn
red sauerkraut

dessert (don't know what. Was going to make the crepes, but my banana crepes have been a disaster - took 36 hours to dry and now can't get them off the sheets, they're stuck)

So if it isn't liked, I'll make something different for Christmas dinner, and if it is liked I'll say we had Christmas Dinner on Christmas Eve, and we'll eat the leftovers. ;)
