I'm looking at a book at Amazon called Raw Foods For Busy People: Simple And Machine Free Recipes For Every Dayby Jordan Maerin. Has anyone used this book? Was it useful?

I haven't switched to raw foods yet; I'm still in the researching phase, looking for a new eating plan to begin in January. I don't want to buy a lot of expensive equipment to begin with. If there's another book that might be helpful to me, do let me know... :)

I have a juicer. Not a really fancy one; I think it tosses a lot of the fiber out. It's a Juiceman but not the one you can stick a whole apple in.
I don't have a dehydrator.

I hardly ever use a deydrator but I'd be lost without my blender and food processor!
The gardendiet ebook from www.gardendiet.com contains recipes that don't use a dehydrator.

I only make a few things with no machines:

romaine lettuce topped with avocado, chopped spring onions, chopped miniplum or cherry tomatoes, cress and another leaf.

chopped avocado, sweetcorn, tomatoes, spring onion

diced avocado mixed with crushed or chopped garlic

fruit salads and salads

I dont have a juicer or a dehydrator LOL.
I only have a $30 blender and I have a hand mixer which Im borrowing from my friend.
So far I have made:

Green smoothie
Sunrise pudding
Almond milk
RP's Brownies

and they are delicious. Not really full main meals because its hard. Unless your going to be a bunny and eat nothing but salads..where's the fun in that? :p
I think investing in a dehydrator is a good idea. I think a juicer you could probably live without but you have one so your 1 step closer to making raw eating easier.
You need to get creative and try things and make up your own stuff. Some raw recipes should be banned :D Seriously LOL. It's all about trial and error and variety. Good luck. Im only 5 days raw but its going alright. ;)
