Is it possible to go raw if I'm allergic to tree nuts? I am conserned about getting my fats and protien. In addition, most of the raw recipies I am finding have nuts in them...

Yes, you surely can. You can still get fats from your fruits and veggies along with (if you can have them) seeds. Don't forget avocado too (which IS a fruit...but just thought I'd mention it seperately). As for protein, you will get that too with or without nuts. There are miniscule amounts of protein in fruit and veggies that your body will better assimilate. But more importantly, as long as you get your greens in, you are getting the amino acids your body needs to create protein. There is a forum area here called "Need to know more about raw?"...visit that section and read the article Alissa put in there about protein.
One other thing to keep in mind is that when you go raw and your body begins to get clean, you may find your nut allergy goes away! My daughter had issues with nuts and citrus fruits and when first going raw, I did eliminate those trigger foods from her diet, but later on, gradually introduced them again and now she can eat them freely with no problems. Many have testified to being rid of certain food allergies simply from going all raw.

Thank you so much. It's been something I have been considering for awhile. I am adding more raw foods little by little and see where it takes me.

There are several families of nuts and seeds called nuts:
Fagaceae - your typical nut. Acorns, chestnuts, beech nuts, and lots of others.
Betulaceae - related to Fagaceae. Hazelnuts.
Juglandaceae - related to Fagaceae. Walnuts, pecans, and hickories.
Rosaceae:Prunoideae - almonds are drupes like peaches.
Lecythidaceae - the Brazil nut is actually a hard-shelled seed.
Fabaceae - the peanut is a bean; once the seeds are fertilized the flower stalk grows long and the pods end up underground.
You can be allergic to one family but not another. You can be allergic to aflatoxin, produced by a mold that commonly grows on peanuts, but have no trouble with Shuar peanuts. And as Rawkie said, you can lose your allergy when you clean yourself out.
Fat you can also get from olives. (Yes there are raw olives.) I'm finding, though, that in cold weather I prefer pecans to olives and avocados.

Yeah it sucks. I am allergic to all tree nuts to varying degrees and get anaphalaxis with most. Even dates give me issues but most seeds and legumes are fine. I'm also allergic to several fruits (tomatoes, avocados etc) as well. Pretty much all the latex related ones. So I was conserned about limiting myself more but since I quit smoking my body is craving raw and after doing some reading it just seems like something my body needs. I dream of losing my allergies, I don't even mind the nut ones but if my body would let me eat some of my favorite fruits again *dreamy look*
