I'm interested in a raw food diet. I don't have any books yet. I'd love to see an example of what a weekly menu might look like for a beginner. Is there something like this on this forum?
Or can someone recommend a website?

In many peoples journals they write what they have eaten for a few days. Throughout the site in many threads people write what they are eating when asking questions or offering suggestions. Sometimes at the bottom of someone's post is their blog or journal link.

Try this: http://www.rawfoodtalk.com/forum/showthread.php?t=22534&highlight=today
And as it was mentioned, go to the journal/photo gallery area and check out the journals...they will have people's daily food intake.
Everyone is different, though...some eat a lot, some do not...some eat very simply while others eat raw recipes often. It will vary from person-to-person.

Welcome to RFT and best wishes to you!
It reallly really helps with Alissa's book/dvd's as yout get recipes, the sprouting chart for nuts and grains plus the sample menus, success stories of healing and weightloss etc and the dvd's give you a real life example of how easy and fun raw preparation can be!!!
You will have so much fun making pies, cookies, cracker etc.....

$30 seems a lot for a book, and I can't find a used copy. I'll keep looking.

It's interesting $30 [seems] like alot but when alot of us stop to think about how much time, research and detailing it takes to know raw and understand it, it's really nice to have one book that will compress all that confusion and heartache.
When I first became raw, I spent days and days researching the sprouting nuts and grains for days---where the book outlines it all.
By all means, if it is out of your budget, this place offers a wealth of information.
Enjoy your time here. :)
