I live in Alaska and I can¬ít seem to find raw dates or raisins (only packaged ones), also some of the nuts avail aren't raw. I need to lose quite a bit of weight and was wondering if anyone noticed any difference, like you're weight loss slowed down when using certain ingredients that might have not been avail raw. I just finished reading Alissa¬ís book and I am planning to start my 30 day challenge hopefully after Christmas. Thanks for any help I can get. :p
I eat packaged raisens and dates. On my packages they don't say anything has been added to them so I thought they were ok. So far I have lost 31 pounds in 2 1/2 months so I don't think it has made a difference for me. I have stayed away from cranberries (craisens) and dried cherries and other fruit like dried blueberries cause there is added sugar to them.
I eat alot of almonds and pecans and walnuts cause those are extremely easy to find raw. You can get those in any grocery store. IF you have a whole foods grocery store you can get most raw nuts there. I even found raw pistaccio nuts there the other day which I hadn't found before anywhere else.
