Hi Everyone!
This is my first post, though I've been reading for a bit. This is a wonderful forum with great, supportive people so I'm excited to become part of the community.
I'm 37 and living in Anchorage, Alaska with my husband and son (2-1/2). My son was recently diagnosed with gluten intolerance (he can't have any wheat, rye, barley, spelt, kamut, etc or any derivative, which are in everything!) He is also allergic to eggs and cow milk. He's been pretty sick for the past year because the food allergies weakened his immune system. . .
So I'm on a quest to improve his health (and mine and my husband's!) and this seemed like a great place to come to. Raw is naturally allergen free for him and it makes so much sense!
I started reading about raw a few years ago and we ate a lot of fruits and vegetables raw (though no raw recipes) when we lived in California. Unfortunately, that's not so easy here, the food situation is pretty dismal.
I'll be asking a lot of questions in the various forums, I hope I won't overwhelm anyone. I'm eager to learn!
