Hi everyone -

I just learned about something called alkaline water yesterday and that it helps to use this type of water when soaking nuts and seeds. Has anyone heard of this and do you have more info?

I don't know, but I always use distilled water, but now I'm concerned because I read where distilled water is acidic to your body. Now I don't know which water is best.....

Distilled water is pure water and has a pH of 7.0.

Alkaline water is becoming quite popular but I don't believe it is natural to drink it. What makes our bodies alkaline is the alkaline minerals we ingest with our plant based food - magnesium, calcium, sodium, potassium etc.

Thanks for the reply Alex.

I am wondering if it helps with sprouting/soaking of nuts and seeds (and dried fruits). I don't plan on drinking it. Thanks for the warning!
