View Full Version : Help me go raw
I am still up in the air about going raw. I am on a juice fast now (day 10) and I want to control my food instead of it controlling me.
I like the idea of going raw but am afraid that my lack of imagination will cause me to be unfulfilled with variety.
I don't have a dehydrator. I have a blender and a juicer.
I live in Bulgaria.
Help persuade me, please.

Everyone is on a raw-food spectrum...and therefore on a raw food diet....even if they don't know it! ha! ha! Even if your over-all percentage of raw is 1%!
-You obviously recognize the logic of it - by your intelligent question. Just seek to slowly increase the over-all percentage of fresh fruits & vegetables that you are comfortable with...and that you LOVE....and I'm sure that you will see great benefit.

I couldn't agree more with David. May I also suggest purchasing a good recipe book, such as Alissa's? Another one I might include is The Complete Book of Raw Food. Alissa's is the one I started with, and in my opinion, it is the best - but the other one mentioned is also an excellent book for someone in your position.
Since you, more than likely, don't have a raw food instructor in your area, a recipe book might be all you need. Once you begin to see how creative and delicious meals can be using only raw fruits, veggies, nut, seeds and sprouts, you are bound to be convinced.
Again, as David mentioned, since you are asking the question, you are clearly on the path - you just need a little taste-bud-temptation to take you all the way.
Best wishes,
Anna

You can do it! Like someone once told me: "take it one meal at a time". There are no rules! Just have fun and play with your food. With a little effort it will all fall into place as your ready.
The recipe book sounds great, but I'm in Bulgaria.
Are there any online recipe sites that are tried and proven?
TIA!
