banana shake

I have decided to browse through all of the recipe threads (all 117 pages! over time, of course!) to find those recipes that have multiple pages of praise & then try them. Here's what I made over this past weekend...
* onion bread- fabulous flavor; I think I overdehydrated, as it was a very crispy cracker, but the texture was GREAT
* store bought frosting- awesome flavor, but I used raw cacao nibs that I grinded myself, and they weren't as smooth as cacao powder, so the end result was a bit grainy, but very good. I almost prefer it as a sweet treat by itself than as a frosting though.
* raw chili!!! OH MY GOD! will be repeating over & over & over! YUM!
* fajita wraps with smoked jalapeno cheese (actually tried this about a month ago & have repeated it a few times)- even my non-raw lunch friends get happy when I bring this!
So... that was my weekend, & it was quite tasteful! I also made the blond coconut macaroons from Raw Food/Real World (the first recipe I've made from that book since I got it), and they were outstanding as well.
I think trying these tried & true will be a good way to get some standards in my recipe book. If three pages worth of posters love a recipe, it's at least worth a try, right?!
