Hey Salsababy,
i was reading your journal and see that u made RAWvolution's onion bread. i recently bought that book and want to try the recipe. how did it turn out? any tips? i see that he uses it all throughout the book, so even tho im not big on onions id like to give it a try.
thanks! :)
Heather
I'm not salsababy but wanted to suggest you look back a week or 2 or do a search, there have been a lot of discussions on Matt's onion bread. I make it weekly and its great!

Hey fairygirl! Well, when I first took the "bread" out of the dehydrater, I thought it was pretty good. But after that, I didn't like it so much.
However, I think that is due to not having perfected it yet. I chopped the onion in my food processor which made 1/2 of it sort of watery. I also didn't grind the sunflower seeds enough. Plus I have a cruddy dehydrater and made it too thick.
There is a thread about the onion bread lurking around here. I would read that first before making it so you don't waste food. Quite a few people remarked that he has good recipes but that the ingredient amounts are a tad off. I like the idea of upping the sunflower and flax to a cup. Otherwise I think I would use less onion. Someone suggest a bit of maple syrup which might help with the horrible "onion breath" I experienced!
I've been looking through his book yesterday and have noticed him using the onion bread a lot!! So, I think I will give it another shot (I think I need "uncooking" lessons!). I am looking at making the zuchini hummus tonight so I am hoping that will turn out. Need a good food experience to make me more confident.

By the way Heather, I think it's funny that you read my blog because I have been reading yours as well! :p
I noticed you have been having good results with recipes and the names sound yummy. Which recipes are you using? Alissa's...others? Just curious if you don't mind sharing.
Thanks!

I dont know how you guys make sushi. I love the stuff and back when I was making it with cooked rice and veggies it never rolled properly. It was so messy and was a disgrace to all sushi lovers LOL. It didnt even look like sushi rolls.. It looked like sushi octagons LOL or something
