What would your perfect raw food restaurant be like?

What kind of food, what would it look like, what would you expect to find there. Any special things happening there?

Mine would be a cozy place to meet other raw fooders. Great tasting gourmet food and simple food for when I wanted to eat lighter. Id love to have a real juice bar that uses only organic fresh raw foods.

What about you?

hmmm, I'd also love some light recipes... in other words, not everything loaded with heavy nuts. One of my favorite dishes at any raw food restaurant is this incredible green soup that they serve at Chicago Diner, nice, light, smooth, yummy :)

But I'd also love some classic American favorites, burgers (like Alissa's carrot pecan burger! Never had a raw burger anywhere near as good as that!), nachos (again, Chicago Diner... amazing), fun stuff like that.

Here's what's also important to me... in addition to as much organic as possible, I also want to know that this restaurant doesn't dehydrate above 105... that's the magic number for me :D

Gee Mat, just curious why you're asking? You thinking of getting in the business??? ;)

total spiritual and healthy organic atmosphere. Incredible music like Loreena Mckennit, VAS, Kitaro, Tangerine Dream, etc

meals like my Mushroom Nut Mock Meat loaf with Garlic Not Mash Potatoes

great Nori Wraps, Lucious Mango, Pineapple, Banana Smoothies.

Couches, soft lighting candles maybe, very comfortable. Also set up for classes and lectures. Sotless kitchen open style.

fully recycling and composting. Menu on Hemp paper, etc.

clean, hospitable and great food. Perceived Value, enviting welcoming and friendly.

30% COG's 25% labor and resonable fixed costs and it could be a success

remember LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION

I would like to be able to go out to the garden and pick the fruit that I wanted juiced.
I would also like to get a taster plate (maybe as a starter) to help me to decide what I wanted as my main course.
I suggest an afternoon ice cream menu because fruit icecream should not be eaten after dinner but I would drop in in the afternoon for some.

In my travels, I enjoyed Ecopolitan in Minneapolis the most. It was cozy inside an older 1900's type of home. It was pretty much all raw, except for an option to get hot tea on the menu. I also enjoyed Good Mood Food Cafe in Huntington Beach, California. It was a bit gourmet for my tastes, but great energy despite it being in a strip mall :)

My most favorite place to eat raw is The Stand in Laguna Beach, California. It has many awesome salads and raw almond milk smoothies. You sit outside and can see the ocean :) I love it :)

ow wow,

I'd say a tropical paradise, on an island, only a roof, no walls, grass mats to sit upon, small low tables, and you can buy just one bite of anything, one bite of durian, one bite of portobello quiche', one bite of neatloaf with bar-b-que sauce, it would have tons of fresh fruits all ripe to choose from, and tons of gournet goodies too, mini deserts, mini portions so you could have lots of different things, as when I am 100% raw, I don't eat much.

it would have tall, young gorgeous men to server your every desire, oh, wait, I better stay on track here, I was day dreaming a bit.

Okay, friendly service, and all the staff would be raw, and knowledgable, all the food would be organic and totally and completely raw, no quesitons.

all utensils would be wooden or ceramic, plates too, no paper, or toss away stuff.

you could get warmed foods, or iced foods, or room temp foods, just the way you wanted them.

you could hear native birds and maybe some soft, I repeat soft music, no rap, and no cell phones, I agree with that one, no computers, no palms, as in pilots.

You could also have the option to buy recipes if you liked the food.

OR, a Victorian home with all the cool furniture, and servants, butlers, maids, etc. all plush velvets, and cut glass chandeliers, and beautiful silver service and antique linens, etc.

either way is fine with me. still would like that tall hunky young guy though.

I don't often get to eat out (due to financial restraints) but I think my perfect raw food restaurant would be some sort of tapas/buffet style place where you can try lots of things.

I think they would have a full range of raw foods from simple fruit and vegetables, to the more complicated dehydrated things that are not so easy to do at home.

They'd also have a take-away counter, and a deli-style shop.

I don't want much really :D

Kass.
