I'm going to get a VitaMix for Christmas!!!

I was joking with my son the other day and told him I wanted a VitaMix for Christmas ... and I told him how much they cost.

Today he told me that with his next pay check he was going to give me the money so I could order it.

My son is 23, lives with me and, due to some poor choices he made a few years ago, could not hold down a job because he does not have his drivers license. He's been getting his act together the past few months, got hired in at a local factory, and he even filled out an application to attend a local community college. He will be taking a placement test on Monday. (One of the poor choices was to drop out of HS, he did get his GED though.) I am very proud of how he has been working to turn his life around.

And, I'm so excited because I am getting a VitaMix for Christmas !!!

How wonderful for you and him!!!

aren't sons grand?

We take care of them for a while, then they turn around and take care of us.

for sharing in my joy and excitement.

I make a green smoothy just about every morning ... in my blender ... I am anxious to see how much *smoother* they will be in the VitaMix.

For Thanksgiving I was making the dressing for RPs Waldorf Salad and I had to keep stopping the blender and trying to stir the cashews around ... or try to stir with the blender running and hit the spoon against the blades (lol) ... and he came into the kitchen to see what I was doing ... I said, "This would be so much easier if I had a VitaMix." And I know that dressing would have come out much creamier ... and maybe more of the kids would have eaten it. It tasted rawsome yet it just looked funny because the dressing was *grainy* ...
