Eating at your house looks like quite an adventure...A feast for the eyes, not to mention the tummy of course... ;) Thanks for sharing, I'm totally inspired!

Sweet potato chips... Wow! Tomorrow is my "uncooking" day and I thought I'd try making sweet potato chips... Yours look incredible! Any chance of sharing your recipe?

As for the cheesesteak recipe, go to:

The BLT is made with the much famous Onion bread recipe that has been circulating on this board. Here it is:
THE famous Onion bread
2 1/2 lbs sweet onions, peeled
1 cup ground sunflower seeds
1 cup ground golden flax seeds
1/2 cup olive oil
3 oz. Nama Shoyu
Put onions in food processor with 's' blade and process until small pieces, (but not mush). Put in mixing bowl with the other ingredients and mix thoroughly. The flax will absorb liquid. Smooth onto teflex sheets* about 1/4" thick and place in dehydrator for 5 hours, turning over for another 3-4 hours or until dry and crispy. Either break into pieces or cut with a pizza cutter, and store in refrigerator in an airtight container.
*If you don't have an Excalibur dehydrator, any type will do - just use natural unbleached parchment paper instead of the teflex sheets.
I suggest doing a banana search to find out more about it.
The Bacon is from the following, again, very much raved about recipe:
Eggplant as a bacon
Top Raw Men
1 large eggplant sliced
1/4 C olive oil
1/4 tsp cayenne
2 T. honey
4 T apple cider vinegar or ume plum
Marinate for 2 hours. Place on teflex sheets and dehydrate for 9 hours. Turn bacon over and dehydrate another 9 hours.
It is spicy/somewhat oily.

Wow!!! Thank you guys!! Talk about making my day! :D It was easy to post because they are all in photobucket under FOOD PICS! hehe
The chewy date cookies are an adaptation of Alissa's recipe on pg530 called 'Lemon Poppy Cookies'! They are fantastic but the lemon was too strong for me so I used a touch of vanilla & maca! I plan on trying different fruit juices or sub-ing other stuff because the base recipe was superb!
I honestly can't remember what I marinated the sweet potato chips with.. I remember them being sweet & spicy like the slaw. I made them at the same time.. hmmm.. I know oil. Prolly honey. Maybe chili powder & cayenne?

RVM,
I'm waiting on Alissa's book to arrive by mail...Can't wait to try the cookies!
Do you remember whether you soaked the sweet potatoes before? I'm wondering whether they're starchy like regular potatoes are... I'll just experiment with different spices and see. Mexican style sounds yummy!
Thanks again!

I didn't soak them, just let them sit in the marinade for 10 minutes. :)
