I made this today following Juliano's recipe but I changed it a bit.

I kneaded 2 cups ground almonds and 2 tablespoons water from soaking seaweed (dulse), into dough and made 4 small flat circles out of it. I put these in the dehydrator for 3 hours.
I had mushrooms and zucchini already marinating in the fridge which needed using up, so I put these in bags in the deydrator.
I soaked half a cup of almonds and half a cup of brazils.

Later I made the filling. In a food processor, I put:
1 cup vegetable pulp (2 carrots, 2 sweet potatoes, 2 stalks celery, 1 red pepper)
1/2 cup vegetable juice
the soaked nuts
1 cup sprouted sunflower seeds
1 teaspoon celtic sea salt
2 tablespoon lemon juice
and blended until smooth. It took ages so I should have ground the nuts first.
I put that in a mixing bowl and folded in 1/2 cup chopped onion, 1/2 cup sprouted sunflower seeds, 1 cup of the dehydrated mushroom and zucchini(which was now soft) and sprinkled in some of the dulse.

I put one crust circle in a soup bowl, added half the filling, and topped with another crust. It made two.

It was really good!

Hi Bobbie,
This sounds delicious. Thanks for posting. Did you dehydrate the zuchinni and mushrooms IN a bag? Plastic baggie? Or did you take them out of the bag?

I can't imagine how they would really dehydrate if they were in a bag...

Thanks for any info you can provide!

**jessireebob**, putting veggies in the dehydrator in a plastic bag or a covered dish keeps them from losing miosture while they get soft or warm.

Yes they were in a bag, in liquid.
If I put them in lose they tend to go harder whereas surrounded by liquid they go soft.
I've just put some cauliflower in the dehydrator in a bag, in liquid, to try to make the scrambled egg recipe without heating a pan on the stove...firstly my cooker is covered by the deydrator and secondly it sounds too cooked to me. I know the temperature given was no higher than a dehydrator but it still feels like cheating. With a dehydrator I can tell myself it's still raw.
