when we post a recipe that we have copied and pasted from another source, that we acknowledge that fact in the post and acknowledge the creator wherever possible. Even in the rawfoodsupport recipe archive, most of the recipe's have author's.
The reason for doing this, as I see it, is a spiritual one. In acknowledging someone who is a vessel for creation of any sort, we are sending an invisible whoosh of love and support to them. Just because it's invisible, doesn't mean it doesn't hit it's mark and nourish the person. Our every invisible thought about another impacts that one. Perhaps the recicpe creator will simply feel better that day and not know why, because someone here apreciated their gift. Our moment of appreciation feeds that person with the oomph to create more. I"m sure we've all had the experience of someone's apprepciation stirring us to give, to create more. I certainly have.
Perhaps this little detail seems like too much of a bother on the surface - too picky. In my raw experience, this board is the kindest, most loving raw foods board on the web. This is why I'm here. It isn't just about getting the best recipes. I'm very aware that what we do collectively matters. It does make an impact, invisibly, whether anyone is aware of us consciously or not. We have a collective presence in the world because of what we offer so lovingly here. And it IS special, here. Perhaps we can kick our kindness up a notch by simply acknowledging, blessing, letting something nourishing return to those who have nourished us, in this case with their recipes, by simply acknoweldging our sources.
What do you think?
With deepest appreciation for the tone of kindness and support that is already present here,
