I've been doing lots of research on the raw diet and decided it's for me. So me and the hubby are getting ready to make the switch together. Yee Ha! Anyone else in the area who's doin' the same, would love to get in touch with ya for some support.

Hi CarrotTop!
We live in Sunny Sequim on the Peninsula. I'm originally from the midwest and am not sure where you are in relation to me.
My husband and I were 100% raw and then slipped back to vegan. We're now doing about 60% raw and I'm gearing up to return to 100%. I've found this to be a great source of support and encouragement! I'm sure you'll find the same thing here. Everyone has been very nice and informative.
Welcome, welcome, welcome!
Best wishes as you & hubby make the switch!

I'm so very lucky to be married to CarrotTop. It has been a long time coming with lots of learning. I'm looking forward to being 100% raw in about a month. I'll be doing an extended water fast to kick it off.. Hooya!

Ok, with all these people suddenly from Washington I have the urge for a get together potluck. I know it would be a little bit of a drive to get us all in one place-but shouldnt be too bad. Would any of you be interested in this?

Warmly~

SG, I think it's a great idea! If it isn't too far and on a Saturday, we'd most likely be able to attend! I'll have to really start fixing raw recipes so I can bring something tasty. ;)

Welcome here. There are so many new people here that I hope like it here as much as I do. Last night I had a phone call from a very nice woman from Washington. Must be a friendly place to live.

You bet, Lisa and I have been talking about the need to actually meet people in this area that are raw or in the process of going raw. When and where is all we need to know. : )

Definitely, I live in Federal Way and work in Redmond, used to work in Everett and Bremerton, so driving is absolutely NO issue for me and I actually enjoy it unless it's in traffic. Pretty much any date and time with a few days notice works for me right now as my classes are all online so I just need to work around senior project meetings.

Hi - i am thinking of switching to the raw food diet. Any advice on how to start?

I wish now I was in Wahington too!
Maybe I will meet you all one day. I am in Bend, Oregon. So hopefully more people from this area will become raw! :)

And on the question how to start. I just did it, from one moment to the other. I made the inner decission and went for it. Today is my 2nd month 100%.
Well, 100%, you never know for sure if somethings are raw or not. I heard cashews are not raw. Well, my intention is to eat 100% and if something is not raw and I do not know about it, well, I will not feel guilty.

The hardest part for me is to stay creative and keep looking for new recepies. That is sometimes a challange. But this forum is excellent for this!

Hi,

I'm in Yelm Washington (near the mountain) and welcome welcome

SweetGoddess is organizing a potluck, so make sure to keep in touch with her on this.

She is truly a breath of fresh air for all of us.

I have been raw for 40 days now, and was struggling raw for 4 years.

Seattle has a huge Raw community and so does Olympia, let me know if you need their info.

www.seattleraw.org, the oly one I have to look up.

Blessings,
rawpriestess
