I just whipped this up for my kids (5 yrs and 17 months) and they loved it! My little girl named it the Curious George Shake. It was adapted from a recipe posted here under I think "what are you eating right now", and I added a few things. I don't measure so adjust as necessary..
coconut water
frozen bananas
almond butter
dark agave sryup or maple syrup
vanilla
dash of nutmeg
enjoy!

:) Did not have any nutmeg and had only one banana which had very dark spots on it, that's why my husband didn't take it to work with him this morning.
I had some frozen blueberries and raw almond butter so i used that, it turned out so tasty and the color was so pretty.
Thanks again for giving me a new Smoothie that helps me get through my morning.
I feel so good and ready to face this new day

Have you considered without agave? Leaving out the almond butter? I am thnking very sweet for young "teeth" as my teeth suffered lots because of my parent's sweet teeth! I'm bringing my blender to visit my grandbaby, TX, end of January, and going to try giving her some smoothies. I'm going to call it Popeye's Smoothie. She is now 20 months old.
Recipe sounds great and I can also be creative. She loves blueberries and banana smoothie recently. Now I thought adding a hint of kelp would be great as she loves green drinks from the store.

almond butter is not sweet, and as my kids are pretty much vegan i like for them to get nut fats and proteins. i could leave out the agave since the bananas are sweet. i am out of e-3 live right now (afa blue-green algea) but when i buy that, i will sneak that right in the smoothie and put it in an opaque cup!

I just made a green smoothie. It was a first time using collard greens but wow was it great. I usually use a bunch of kale. Here goes:
one collard leaf
2 apples
slice lemon
pinch water to start blender
Enjoy. Yum!
