I was just called and told there are news bits on raw foodists all day today on NPR. I haven't tuned in yet, but my non-raw friend related some of it to me. You might want to tune in and check it out.

Hmmm.....I listened to this and was not impressed. They distinquished the differences between vegan raw foodists and non-vegan raw meat foodist. They did interview one guy who has been a raw foodist for 6 years and commented on how much younger he looks (he's like 52). However, the vibes from the broadcast were more to the negative side than to an equal good things vs. concerns. Even from the interview with the 52 year old raw foodist, they cut his talking portion to only include that he feels happier eating raw food and then the rest of his short statment was a longer snibe about the isolation raw food creates.
I feel the radio broadcast made us look like a crazy fad.......

That was a good segment. It would have been nice though, to get more of a whole food approach, if you noticed, there was a lot of supplemental and recipe commentary and how bogged down folks got taking 3 days to make a pizza.
I liked how the nutrition 'expert' said the nutrient difference between raw and cooked is trivial. HA!
