I see that I need to get teflex sheets for a lot of recipes...will parchment paper work as well until I can order some?
Thanks :)

Cat, I don't see any reason parchment paper wouldn't work until you get Teflex. It might even be safer than Teflex!

I have a round dehydrator from Germany (as I live in Austria!) but not the kind with a hole in the middle. I use baking paper for mine, but it gets tiresome to cut new ones all the time, so I had the idea to get reusable silicone baking sheets (like the flexible bakeware, just a flat sheet) and cut them to size. Now I have my own 'teflex'!!

I use parchment paper with wonderful results and ease :D
I believe Rawkinlocs also uses parchment.
The only thing I find is that somethings, if there is no oil or fats in them at all, will stick a bit, but it has never been more than a slight bump. I just dry it a bit longer, or am more careful peeling it off :p

Well Catlover I was just going to ask the very same question!
To get me started with a little test, how would i dehyrate say some banana or apple slices, anything really simple.
Any ideas please?
Anyone? Times, temperatures etc??
This is the one I was given.
