Truely, that's what it feels like at times in this cooked-food world. Being a raw foodist makes plenty of sense to me and I wonder at times why more intelligent people don't take it up.
I've been basically a vegetarian for the last seven years, excepting for the year when I was eating fish occasionally in hopes of lowering my chloresterol count. But after reading the Sierra Club's pamphlet on the mercury levels of most fish, I stopped doing that.
I've been 100% raw vegan about three months or so but have just started succumbing to a cooked meal in times of acute hunger and low spirits.
Basically I have been happy in those months and lost 10 pounds in the process. Not that I was overweight before. Now down to 95 lbs. (I'm less than 5" tall).
I'm really glad to have found this forum. I had been trying to find a raw food meetup in my area, but the only one started died a slow death due to lack of participation even before I could attend the first meeting. I've been subscribed to Roger Haeske's newsletter and also Victoria Boutenko's, too not to mention the late Ann Wigmore' wonderful books; really good people with amazingly helpful suggestions. And read lots of other books, including a book on life extension based on the use of ionized water.
Now I'm looking for a dehydrator, a simple one (inexpensive) with a low-temperature regulator. Any suggestions in that direction would be appeciated.
Thanks. Have a great Thanksgiving!
