Hello everybody, I have been raw for two months now, and I am very excited and pleased with the results. I have lost weight, and feel much better. I am an APL leukemia survivior for three years. The gene translocation is gone, but I have excess weight to lose. I have allready lost 15 pounds. yea!
I have made Alissa's Pesto stuffed mushrooms, and they were yummy out of the dehydrater btw.....and I have made the rp brownies, but they were on a different forum. They were tasty! That mashed potato and gravy Thanksgiving recipe looks really good, and I am going to make it. I will post photos when I do because I like to do that.
I don't know what else to say. If you want to know more about me I started a visual blog this month about my raw food journey. It's called
A Raw Life (http://arawlifemyexperience.blogspot.com/)

Hey, welcome. I am in Lynnwood. Have any of you fellow Seattle-area folks been to Chaco Canyon Cafe yet? I am hoping to check it out after Christmas for my birthday. Welcome again :)

I love Chaco Canyon- been there numerous times. I've ordered quite a bit off their menu. I have introduced non-raw people to the carob pie and kiwi lime pie. My favorite is the raw porriage. It's right by my work so I stop there often. :)

Hello Petals.. It is really nice to meet you.. I am also a Lukemia survivior. I had AML. I started the RAW diet back in June and I love it. I think I really feel much better eating RAW than I did SAD. I was diagnosed with AML 3 years ago. And it has been a very rough ride. I became very ill from all the Chemo I had. I also found that I was able to keep RAW down better after chemo than SAD. Not sure why. Well again.. It was really great to meet you..

There are so MANY Washingtonians here. That is exiciting.
Denise, you are the first person I have met who had the same "thing" as me, and is into raw food as well. We have something in common.
Raw Priestess, I got your recipe from the living and raw foods site, you know the big one with a forum too, and the recipe is credited to you, with BEAUTIFUL photos, and it is one of the most popular threads in the recipe posts.
About that Chaco Canyon idea, I realize I am new, but since there are so many in this area~ I would love to go there. It would be fun! I have been wanting to go there for a couple of months. That Thai Grinder looks yummy, and I can't decide which dessert I would want.... hmmm and all thoses juices
chilove, thanks for the rawseattle yahoo group. I will def be checking it out because I don't know any raw people in Tacoma at all, or Seattle for that matter.
and thanks for taking a moment and looking at my blog :)
