I really enjoyed this thread so I thought I'd start another one in this new main forum. I get so many wonderful ideas seeing what everyone else is eating too plus not having a journal set up, this is a great way to keep track of what I am eating also!
Smoothie-orange, banana, strawberries, blueberries, flax
Prunes-soaked
Large veggie salad-corn, tomatoes, avocado, orange sections, celery, raisins, ACV for dressing with Falafal Balls on top
Broccoli salad-cut up very small, added raisins, onion, ACV, almond mylk, agave, and some seasonings
Banana ice cream made in the Vitamix with orange juice as the base
RP brownie
So what did you eat today??

What I ate raw so far today:
Papaya/banana pudding
Pistatchio/honey spread on celery sticks (this is sooooo delicious!)

The pistachio spread is from Rhios book. It calls for
1 cup pistatchios
1 tbs honey
Grind in the food processer.
It also calls for salt and lemon juice which are optional and I always skip them.
Very simple and very good!

Saturday:
9:00 Some pineapple
12:00 Smoothie with pineapple & banana
3:00 Large salad with lettuce, tomatoes, small avocado, olive oil & black olives.
6:00 Banana & a few almonds
8:00 A salad with romain lettuce, stawberries & banana. No oil or dressing.
4:00 am - apple
Had to wake up in the middle of the night & drive home after watching the kids for my brother in law.
Sunday:
12:00 Banana, pear, some coco nibs (tryied to make a smoothie)
so far I've eaten:
half a banana @ my bf's place
a smoothie (pineapple, banana, carrot, apple, orange and frozen berries)
and two blue carrots (very preey and organic:D)
Oh yeah, and half a grapefruit.

This is what I ate yesterday:
breakfast: honeydew melon
lunch: banana date pudding: 4 bananas blended with some dates, yummmy!
snack: a couple of tangerines
dinner: another honeydew melon

This what I had today. 2 quarts of fresh squeezed orange juice, 3 bananas, 4 ounces of wheat grass, and a large cucumber-tomato salad. I will probably do 4 more ounces of wheat grass and that will be it for the day.

So far I've eaten a smoothie my husband made so I'm not exactly sure what was in it, hemp protein powder and berries.
Manna bread with rawlmond butter,
green tea,
Larabar,
an apple
a large salad with sprouts and ginger dressing.
and a whole lot of water.
I plan on eating a raw samosa for dinner with cabbage salad of some sort.
If I'm still in need I'll juice some carrots and oranges together.

a.m.: 1 liter water, lemon juice, MSM
noon: 2 grapefruit
2pm: Blended green soup: 1/2 avocado, 1 cucumber, 1/2 bunch kale, cumin, curry, pinch sea salt, Thor's Protein Powder; also a few cherry tomatos, some soaked wakame, and some nori with lettuce and avo
Small handful cacao with some agave
afternoon: sipping on ginger tea with honey
I have to go to work soon. I might have a little snack before I go, and when I come home who knows. Probably juice since it'll be after 9pm

I plan to make either a pate or Alissa's Falafal Balls this afternoon. Also I have lots of raw goodies in the freezer so I will check my inventory and see what new things I want to make. I know I'll have some Living Fruit Bread and Oatmeal Cookies, probably some fudge balls in there too!
Edit-I made the Walnut Pate in Raw Food Made Easy for 1 or 2 People by Jennifer Cornbleet (love this book!) and it is really good!

Today I had:
Breakfast: 1 Banana and a cup of coffee (Sorry I cheated. My mom bought it for me I didnt want to be rude and not drink it)
Lunch: Sunrise pudding with a glass of almond milk and half a chopped banana on top of the pudding.
Snack: 2 squares of RP brownies (Ya I pigged out, Oh well it was good :D )
and for dinner:
I'll be having a large garden salad and some raw nut bars in raw honey (granola bar type snack) with a tall glass of ice cold water. :p

Today is my first day raw. I had a green smoothie (2 bananas, container raspberries and large bunch of spinach), some pineapple, 1/2 cantaloupe, red grapes, large salad (lettuce, spinach, carrot, tomato, cucumber, olive oil).

Morning snack: an apple with my version of hemp butter
Lunch: A collard wrap consisting of mushrooms and red onions marinated in braggs liquad aminos, with some zuchinna squash made from the saladacco.
Dinner: another green smoothie
Snack: one RP brownie.. ok... TWO RP BROWNIES!!

- 4 cups of green smoothies. 2 bananas and 1 pear for the 4 cups, a couple of tablespoons of flaxseed, and a whole bunch of hearts of romaine.
- bananas and apples (a couple of each).
- 3 tomatoes, 3 celery stalks, garlic.
- sunflower seeds.
I am still experimenting with being raw. The above does not sound like it should be enough food. But yet, I am not hungry. I must have snacked on too many sunflower seeds. I think ideally I should shift out of seeds and more into fruit.

I opened up a large beautiful looking young coconut this morning to make chocolate coconut pudding and it was all purple inside. Ugggg, threw it out?! So I'm not sure what dessert I will make later on today.

banana and an orange for breakfast.
lunch was a low carb wrap (the wrap itself wasn't raw! :eek: )
filled with one of alissa's cheese recipes ... I spread it in the wrap
then I put mock tuna in it and some salsa...
roll it up and enjoy! it was sooo yummy. I had two of those for lunch today.
for dinner I'm not sure what I'm having but I know I have some bananas at home that are dying to become banana ice cream!

I don't think they are raw, but, lately, I really crave them. I figure if it keeps me from having a slice of pizza... :P
I don't know if they are as processed as the canned kind. I get mine at Whole Foods in little plastic containers where they keep the olives.
Today I ate like a famished warthog...
I had a salad when I woke up and a grapefruit not long after. A "burrito" of guacamole, marinated mushrooms and salad greens wrapped up in an Ezekiel tortilla and another tortilla with just guac and mesclun greens.
And I'm still hungry!!! :(

I was so inspired by Alissa's thread about her new raw food restaurant I just had to do some uncooking! So this morning I made her Mock Salmon Pate, Parsnip Rice (which I'll put in Nori Rolls), and Chocolate Coconut Pudding (this is the best batch of this I've ever made and I do make it a lot!).
So far today...
Grapefruit orange juice
Sip of coconut water and bite of coconut meat
Few bites of pudding
Smoothie-banana, blackberries, romaine, spinach, cinnamon, date
And I am sure I'll have some of the pate with veggie sticks
Nori rolls with the parsnip rice (love this stuff!)
Pudding!
And I made a green salad for dinner tonight-greens, carrots, broccoli, tomatoes, raisins, ACV for dressing

Breakfast: This morning I had 16 oz of fresh squeezed valencia orange juice with 1 persimmon and whipped up in the blender. YUM!
Lunch: Kale salad with olive oil and lemon juice, bell pepper, green olives, hemp seeds, sunflower seeds, and a little bit of tomato. Also, Mediterranean bread/crackers that I made last night.
Supper - not sure yet, maybe Fuji apples :)

Starting Tuesday, I'm on green smoothies for a few days just to get out of this holiday overindulgence. Though I wonder ... does anyone else get more hungry during certain parts of their cycle? I'm approaching ovulation, and that has always made me more hungry.

Lunch is Maraw's Mock Chicken Salad with greens and some diced avocado. (Avo was her suggestion and it's a great one)
Apple and grapes-juiced
Making fudge to nosh on.
Big green salad with Thai dressing.
I plan on starting a juice fast on the 27th so am eating light for now...

Monday 22 January 2007:
Breakfast - 4 bananas, 2 pears, 1 apple, almonds mixed with organic sultanas.
Lunch - big salad (apples, capsicum, celery, carrots, cucumber, tomatoes, lettuce, and some spouts) with lemon juice squeezed over it, two bananas, a piece of honey dew melon, more almond/sultana mix (I feel naughty for that)
Dinner - plan on having another salad (same ingredients), one banana, a kiwi fruit, and a handful of sunflower seeds.
It'll get more varied and interesting once I can afford to purchase a juicer, f-processor, and a blender :cool:

Breakfast - bananas with peanut butter, orange slices, the morning glass o' water (I've started drinking a glass of water first thing every morning while I watch the birds outside - it's a nice entrance into the day)
Lunch - lettuce rolls with sprouted quinoa mixed with tahini and lemon juice (needs something though...), puree of orange segments and frozen (raw) strawberries and cranberries, miso soup (not raw)
Snack - blue corn chips and salsa (the corn chips weren't raw, but I'm not a 100% raw foodist)
Dinner - Raw Food, Real World's amazing Chocolate-Banana Smoothie
Snack - honey mandarines, lightly brewed chrysanthemum "tea", spoonful of almond butter

later I will probably have a sandwich with onion bread, avocado with chili powder sprinkled on it, lettuce, grape tomatoes cut up and pignolias.. (I had one yesterday and it was YUMMY!!!!) (edit. had it, and added some organic (cooked vinaigrette type salad dressing to it also..)
I need to go to the store and place an order online.. I am going through some detox and feel depressed.. Now would be a good time to have someone else around to maybe make me something yummy..lol... :o

Hi Coonlie-RP Brownies are a recipe by a member and moderator of this site named Rawpriestess. It is an awesome recipe! Here it is (there are many ways to vary it by using different nuts or a combo of them and using some dates and some raisins for the dates, I also add a bit of cinnamon to my batches or a bit of vanilla or other flavoring.) Have fun with it!

1 cup walnut (unsoaked)
1 cup dates (pitted unsoaked)
1/2 cup cocoa powder (you may use carob if you like) (I use less of this.)
Place in food processor, and blend until well blended, should still be dry and chunky, maybe blend about 30 seconds.
Press into a small spring form pan. (I mold it onto a plate in either a square or circle.)
Refridgerate until you can insert a knife and it isn't too sticky.
Cut into little pieces, then pop into a zip lock baggie and freeze.
They can be eaten fresh, from the fridge or from the freezer.

Thursday 25 January:
Breakfast - 4 bananas, 2 pears, 1 apple, 3 kiwi fruits, large slice of water melon...man was I stuffed. Water melon will decieve you every time! :cool:
Lunch - big salad (apples, thyme, capsicum, celery, carrots, cucumber, tomatoes, lettuce, and onion) with lemon juice squeezed over it, two bananas, one kiwi fruit, sunflower seeds.
Dinner plan of attack - Another salad (same as above), one banana, an orange, and some almonds.
To drink: Bottled water.

Raw ginger kombucha
2 nori rolls with a brocolli, walnut and acv pate, carrots, cuces, avo and red peppers (this was AMAZING) and 3 leaves of romaine with a different pate (also delicious).
1 cookie (Rawkinlocks cinnamon roll recipe (that I botched) all balled up together and smashed into a pan - cooled - then I added RP's brownies plus a little coconut oil and placed a think layer on top - keep cool in the fridge) These are SO good!

This morning I went and had an egg omelete with hash browns... not good :rolleyes:
Then, I went for tea... arguably, also not good!
However, I redeemed myself when I got home (fresh from the market) with 3 blood oranges, a kale salad and lots of water.
Breakfast this morning was a product of not having any food around. I find that the biggest key to my sliding backwards is letting things run low in the fridge.

Day 3 of the 30-day raw thang for me. :)
So far, I had a big, green smoothie for breakfast with collards, kale, mango and hemp seeds. Delish!
As a mid morning snackie, I had a small handful of raw organic Hunza Goji Trail Mix (Hunza apricot kernels, Hunza raisins, Hunza apricots, Hunza mulberries, Goji berries, Hunza Almonds.).
I'm craving a huge salad for lunch. Dinner will be collard wrap tacos!

So far today, a smoothie with young coconut milk, mango and tangerine and young coconut meat separately. For lunch it'll be a big salad with sprouts, avocado, dark leafy greens, onion, tomato and cucumber. I'll have that with my home made seed crackers that have all kinds of veggies it them. For dinner, I'll have a raw soup made from all sorts of veggies, sea veggie spices thrown in the vitamix.

Yesterday's intake
Grapes, grapes, grapes!!
Then, at supper, I had a giant salad with organic greens and tomatoes, and a dressing made of 2 bananas, 1 celery stalk, and 1 tbsp sesame seeds.
Today so far, I've had 4 giant organic Anjou Pears.
Lunch will likely be blended cucumbers and apples.
Supper will be that same salad again, only with organic romaine hearts, and way more tomatoes. They are some of my favorite foods!

Yum -- I love love love those zucchini noodles!!! Try them also tossed with EVOO, black pepper, fresh parsley and chopped sundried tomatoes..... it's SO GOOD.
I also marinate them in a little EVOO and soy sauce and then add them to miso soup for a noodle-y soup delight ; )

Yesterday was a great eating day:
- Flax crackers with guac and hot sauce
- fresh orange juice
- smoothie with sprouts, turnip greens, pineapple and bananas
- more orange juice
- kale chips
- Alissa's mock salmon in lettuce rolls with sprouts and tomato
- cabbage salad w asian dressing, marinated mushrooms and avocado
- flax crackers, avo and hot sauce for a late night snack, YUM!
So far today:
- flax crackers w chopped tomatoes and avo in olive oil
- fresh orange/grapefruit juice
- smoothie of collard greens, sprouts, kale, banana and pear
My plan for the rest of the day is to stick to orange juice and smoothies.... maybe with more avo and flax crackers around dinnertime.
Definitely will have a creamy cashew-based smoothie in a few hours, YUM!
