Hi Everyone, I think I am going through the dreaded detox stage. I have been eating all raw for 11 days now but still drinking two cups of coffee, black no sugar :) I know, I'm working on that.
This morning I was very light headed, felt weird, heart racing, really weak.
I was trying to do my workout but just could not continue, I had to sit down.
Even though I knew this was coming, it was a very scary feeling for me.
Does anyone have any tips to help me get through it? I know it has to run it's course but if there was something that helped you, I would love to hear about it.
Thanks for your help!
Lisa

Lots of rest and plenty of water will do the trick.

Yes. And regulate your own detox (if it is severe) by not changing your diet too fast or too radically.

Thank You for the tips. I know that I don't drink enough water, I will try to do better.

keep in mind coffee affects insulin in the body. I used to get really dizzy until I quit drinking coffee. This was way back before doing raw.

Oftentimes, when you start to clean yourself out, the body starts to not be able to handle stuff that it used to (like alcohol, or caffeine). Maybe your body is trying to tell you it doesn't like coffee anymore, I dunno. Maybe try decaf or tapering down.

I really can't drink anymore. Maybe a half of glass of wine, but I have to be prepared for side effects (headache, insomnia) these days, unlike before I went raw when I could have two glasses no problem.
