I've been having some insomnia for the last few nights? Anyone know why this could be?

I know one of the side effects of fasting can be trouble sleeping, so if you are fasting then that would be why...no?

yes, but what causes it, i wonder....hmmmm......

I am not qualified to answer that, but my opinion is that you are disrupting the "norm" for your body and this disruption affects other processes such as sleep.

yes, could be. I thought maybe there was caffiene locked inside cells or something and it was being released...I was an avid coffee drinker for abotu 15 years.

Anytime I do a fast. I will be up for 2 nights straight. (this is when I am doing 3 day fasts) I think it is that you're body is sooooo cleaned out, you have a sudden surge of energy of which you're unaware. That's the way it is with me anyway.

Hey Purl! I din't know you were a member here! Just thought you new about it here. I am trying to learn more about going raw and fasting for health benefits as well as spiritual. Nice to see you! Alisha

You can drink some room temperature nutmilk with fresh nutmeg ground into it.

Half a cup of milk with a good few grindings of nutmeg usually knocks me out for the night when I have insomnia. You can put honey in it if you like.

I have not been sleeping well for the past few nights and have attributed it to the fact that I started taking enzymes.
Any disruption to your habits can cause this effect.
I am giving up the enzymes. I prefer my sleep.

I think it's all that enery you're saving because you're not digesting anything. Isn't 1/4-1/2 of all your energy used on digestion? or something like that. Have fun! lol
