what are pepitas?

There was a thread with Christmas Cookies posted a while back that contained a recipe for Pumkin Seed Cookies.

One of the ingredients is "1 cup pepitas".

What are these? and where do you get them?

Ahhhh - The recipe is "pumpkin seed cookies" and calls for pumpkin seed butter, pepitas, pumpkin pie spice .... so that would make sense.
