I knew about this site for about a year. I really felt that this was just a wild way of life or just another new diet. I have alissas book, luckily my local library has a copy. I have been a lurker for the past few months. But I really must admit that my present way of eating is so unhealthy.
I have a food addiction and often over eat. Sometimes until I am so stuffed i will get sick. Always the same foods, pasta, bread, sugar is what I binge on.

My home is full of unhealthy food . Food that I believe once killed a loving family member of mine. Pasta, stuffing, sugar, flour, bread, meat, frozen things. I may just donate what I have to a food bank. And start fresh in the morning. I guess I can do some early spring cleaning. ;)

I am always tired, heavy periods, infertility, hormones are crazy, vision is blurry, I think about food all the time.

So.. Is there help out there for me? Will raw make me feel and look better?

Ok..about me. I live in New York and I am married to a wonderful man. Anyone from NY?

Dear DE Lurker,

Welcome!

It looks like quite a few here are posting from New York. You might want to try the meet up site, I think there is a huge group for raw fooders. You are so lucky to be near all the great raw restaraunts we keep hearing about.

You will probably find it very cleansing to get rid of all the junk and replenish your stock with lots of fresh fruits and veggies.

And if this is your first time going raw you are in for a real treat. You will feel completely awesome within a few days.

WELCOME TO THE BOARDSyou bet raw will help.

I've lost 85 pounds so far, and cured all of my incureable age related challenges, LOL

Heavy bleeding during periods,
PMS
mood swings
hot flashes
massive pain in joints
insomnia
snoring
ear ringing --tinitis
sinus drainage
sinus blockage
constipation
diarhea
pain in abdomin
gallbladder pain
headaches to die from
blurred vision
hair falling out
callouses on feet cracking all the time
arthritis in hands and neck
breaking hair
body odor
bad breath
weeping eyes
dry skin
the list is endless,

YOU ARE GONNA' FEEL SO GREAT ON RAW,

I have a wheat intollerance, you may have the same, the more wheat I eat, the more I crave and the more sugar I crave, it's an endless battle, takes about 3 days to really crave the wheat then I have to chain myself up to the barn, like the old blacksmith who got rabies, it's a horrible sight, once I get through that day, then it's pretty easy to get through another then another then another, but you can do this, you are doing this right now.

how cool is that.

remember it gets much easier, the longer you are raw.
