Hi,
I've heard lots of good things about the Borner V slicer but it appears to only have a thin or thick slice option. Does anybody know how thin? Would it be ok to make eggplant bacon, lasagna and chips?
Thanks,

The new version of their slicer has three settings... the thin one is very thin and just amazing for everything!!
I had a cheapie one before and finally got this one and it's 10x better. I love it!

That's exactly what I wanted to know! It's quite a mandolin/v-slicer jungle out there-with so many different kind of animals-and it can be quite confusing. The Borner is the one that felt the best and you've now just confirmed that it will allow me to make those yummy recipes I haven't been able to for lack of equipment.
BTW, I just received the post from Raw Pleasure announcing that it is now available on line. Hurray! I was one of the sad (as in bummed, not SAD! :D) Mac users who couldn't access it before. It's just gorgeous and many of the recipes are on my "to do" list. Thanks to you and your inspiring group for sharing so generously about your raw experiences and recipes.
