I'm transitioning to raw. One of the ways I'm trying to get more veggies in is to make spring rolls (it's basically a rice paper wrapping that is soaked in water and then filled with veggies and rolled - no frying or anything like that).
I was thinking it would be tasty to dip it into something but I know soy sauce isn't the best idea and I LOVE peanut sauce but it isnt raw. I am not very familiar with sprouting and most dips I come across require some form of sprouting.
Any suggestion for an easy dip that would be good with raw veggies that doesn't require sprouting?
Thanks,

i am a "dipper" too.
i have been dipping my wraps in braggs. i made an asian dressing last nite that was out of this world on my salad and with my wrap:
chunk of ginger
1 carrot
apple cider vinegar
water
olive oil
sesame oil
2 garlic cloves
sea salt
pepper
blend until smooth.

Oh that sound tasty! Thanks!
I really want peanut sauce but know it's a no-no. I try to stay away from braggs (I heard it isn't very good for you). I miss creamy dips. If you come across any other ones, let me know! ;) And I'll do the same!
Thanks!!!

Have you ever used dulse flakes? I keep seeing it in recipes. I'm pretty sure it's a sea vege (like kelp, etc).
I also found this special hummus one that might work as a dip
2 cups peled zucchini, chopped
4 tbs. olive oil
1 and 1/2 lemon, juice of
3/4 cup seasame seeds (hulled)
3/4 tsp. sea salt
2 garlic cloves
1 tsp. papika
blend it all in food processor :)
i think i found it on the new site you gave me. it seems like it could be a good base, and then you could add other spices to change it up.
I may try it this weekend, will let u know!

oooh that looks good too!! i believe dulse flakes can be used as a salt substitute. i have seen them at the store but keep passing them up. i would prob use my sea salt and be done.

What about a tahini dip? It's not asian, but I use it as a dressing for salads sometimes. Basically I mix raw tahini with some lemon juice and water. But you could add seasonings. It's a little bland. I suggest you might want to play with it and dress it up a little.

You can make a "peanut" sauce by using almond butter instead of peanut butter, with whatever thai seasonings you like (I'd recommend nama shoyu, ginger, lemon grass, kaffir lime leaf, chilies, coconut....)
