Hello has anyone tried this dehydrator? I like the fact that it doesn't use electricity. Miracle Dehydrator

If you live somewhere hot and dry this would work... I dry buckwheat all the time here. You would just have to make sure you needed it only when the weather was right for it. If it was humid it wouldn't work.

I like the idea of those alot!

I haven't tried it, but I AM tempted! Does it just hang there and dry it all? Wow!

It seems a lot more natural too, like drying in the sun. Has anyone made pizza´s and such with this dehydrator? It would be ideal for an environmental freak as I :p

Thanks for posting this! I've never seen it before. I bet it would work great for growing wheat grass (and keeping my cats away from it!).

This would work well in my climate, where it is so dry, but if you live near the coast, it may cause the food to get moldy or spoil.

Thank you for all your help Sharon! If I had one, it would hang inside in my kitchen, just over the heater so I guess it would be safe from mould there..

I use mine when I go to the desert where it is VERY DRY.
I hang it in the shade and it works fine. However, since I'm moving out of Joe's house, I won't be going to the desert anymore. (BWA HAHAHAHahaha!)

Here in Portland, it's much too wet to use this type of dryer except perhaps in August/September when there is no rain.

I think if you live in a dry climate it would be worth trying.

HOWEVER, the food does not dry as quickly as in a dehydrator and spoilage might be a problem.

I might consider selling mine if someone wants to try it. You can email me privately if you are interested. I will have to try to dig it up. It's stored somewhere.

Hi Rowan! Cute picture! I live out by the coast, most of Denmark is more or less close to the coast anyways, but I guess it isn't dry here.. What a bugger!
