I have a Vitamix, but no food processor. Is it possible to make this ever so popular dessert without a food processor? Have any of you made it with a vitamix before? I have the ingredients, and I'm anxious to try it, but I don't want to hack the recipe either. Thanks :)

I hope someone answers you soon. I have never used a vita mix. I do mine in the processor.

Hi,

I have a Vita Mix and a food processor, the Vita Mix will blend and puree, and pretty much mush up anything in a big hurry, the challenge is to keep it moving, so you want to use the big tamper thing to keep it down, and really watch the blending time, unless you want the stuff you are blending to be really creamy and smooth.

It works grea with frostings, but the cake part might be too heavy to move really easily in the Vita Mix.

I would say try it, and it will taste good, it just may need some extra muscle to move it around in the container.

It can also be tough to get your stuff out of the Vita Mix, as it can take alot of scraping.

good luck,

Vita mixer person here as well - do it in batches in the VM - should work well as rawpriestess said.
