I have been searching off and on for hours looking for a post on sleep. I saw that one person stated that her sleep patterns had changed. I am ususlly an 8-10 hour sleeper and wanted to see how your amounts of sleep has changed since going raw?

Well I had a decrease of sleep on raw. I went from 7-9 hours of sleep on SAD to 5-6 hours on RAW.
Then I started acupuncture and a fungus and parasite cleanse. For the first 2 1/2 weeks I was sleeping 4 hours, but now I have been sleeping 9-10 hours.
I am assuming that my body is doing some healing and needing its rest.

I need about as much sleep as I used to....which is about 7 hours. Then again I was a pretty healthy eater before raw.

I used to go to bed around 2 am then got up around noon, so I needed about 10 hours sleep,
now I go to bed around 2 am and I get up at 7 am today, so 5 hours sleep,
I guess that is half as much, hummmmm
so that's a big difference for me, plus before, I used to take a 4 hour nap each day too, well, MOST days anyway.

I used to absolutely require a minimum of 8 hours.
On raw, I can get 6 hours and function, but still aim for 7-8 at least 50% of the time. My skin is much better when I sleep more.

I never feel like I get enough sleep. I generally get about 6-7 hrs per night during the week. On the weekends, I can sleep 10 hrs straight. I just can't seem to get to sleep early enough on the weeknights... here it is 10:50 pm and I've got to get up at o'dark thirty in the morning!!!

Overall 5-6 hours but more importantly, I try to get to bed by 10 pm so my body can rebuild immunity, replnsih, assimilate etc. That seems to be my challenge, sleeping my 10 pm

I went from 8 hours at least, to 6 or less on a raw food diet. It's so strange to wake up at 5:30 am without any alarm and feel completely well-rested and awake. I have more energy than ever.

Do you feel well-rested upon wakening? Ann Wigmore only needed about 2 hours of sleep a night.

When on raw I do well with less sleep. On SAD I feel like I need more sleep because I am tired all the time. On raw I am fine with about 5 hours of sleep and I have a lot of energy. ;)

I posted before that I needed about the same amount of time for sleep...which is true, but as I'm thinking about this, I realize that I haven't been raw very long and may need time to really start seeing results. I know already I can decrease the amount of sleep I need by using meditation. But I am excited to see how raw can help my sleep habits. I am right now searching for new sources of motivation so I can continue my raw journey with more success than before.
I don't get enough sleep because I spend too much time on Rawfoodtalk.com in the evening - and I keep telling myself - GO to bed!! But you guys are just so full of interesting information and relevant questions - **** you! *lol*
I feel the best when I get 8 hours of sleep - but normally I get like 6 - 7

Before going raw, about 6-7 hours nightly.
After going raw, I can function on 4 hours per night, and this is putting in 13 hour days at work and then still coming home at night making raw meals for myself/roommate/guests.
Greatest thing that's ever happened to me.
