Nama,
You are kidding..oatmeal with "no chocolate chips here?" They look great. How can we be blessed with the recipe or hints? You sure had me fooled. They are stunning pictures (photos) for our group to look for. Where in NY? Kew Gardens, Queens formerly near Forest Hills. Photo link:

Hi, carolg:
Thank you for your comments and suggestion using chocolate chips.
Most of my recipes are very simple. I do not have exact measurements but here is my recipe for Oatmeal Cookies with Dried Black Currants:
Dry ingredients:
Rolled oat grouts (soaked, sprouted, sun-dried and rolled)
Rye berries flour (soaked, sprouted, sun-dried and grinded)
Oat grouts flour (soaked, sprouted, sun-dried and grinded)
Dried black currants
Wet ingredients:
Agave
Coconut oil
Water
A pinch of salt
Mix all ingredients and form cookies (about 2 inches diameter). If you wet you hands, it might be easier to handle the dough. Since I do not have a dehydrator and I live in a very sunny apartment, I leave them by the sunny window for a day and sun shine will take care of the rest.
You may use oat grouts flour only if you do not have rye berries flour. I usually keep oat grouts, rye berries, quinoa and buckwheat soaked, sprouted and sun dried. And when necessary, I have them rolled or grinded.
Again, I like to keep my recipes simple, but you may add some vanilla extract, cinnamon powder, raw honey and raisins for your taste.
I hope this will help. :p
PS: I live in Manhattan.

Nama,
Thanks for sharing recipe. In Brooklyn, have you been to The Plant in DUMBO? They offer incredible classes and you can also buy their recipe books. I have the entire list if you wish to email me. It's only a few recipes per packet and many sound great.
Know knishes at Knish Nosh. I have been dreaming about raw version.

Hi, carolg:
I have heard about The Plant but I do not have much interest visiting there or taking lessons for now. I usually eat very simply. I eat a lot of fresh veggies and fruits for breakfast, lunch and dinner. After dinner, I have some desserts such as oatmeal cookies or some other simple desserts. I have a lot of “gourmet” raw foods recipes but I always modify the recipes for my taste. I do not care for a lot of nuts or dates and food combination either. Simple is the best for me, but it does not mean that I am not interested what other people make. I will look forward your future post regarding knishes recipe. Thank you for your kind offer.
By the way, do you miss New York?

Your cookies are going to be one of my treats in addition to RP brownies. Since I prefer fast/quick, it usually ends up being simple too.
OT: Been out of NY so long, really CO is like home now; although was back last year.
Maybe Alissa can work on a knish for us or her sister Stacie.
