How exciting - for all of us! I know you must have put a lot of work into it. I can't wait to see the end result. Please do keep us up on what is happening with publishing, distribution, etc.
Fragola,
OK maybe I was mistaken. Isn't this a book of raw recipes in the Italian language for distribution in your country?

My husband is the "real" thing--Italian and speaks the language. He worked in a tailor shop at 12 years old. My brother in law loves my food and when he visited from Italy he sure enjoyed it. Write a few Italian words for me here Frag. Your name means "strawberry." Best to you.

Maraw, thanks! I have a publisher, which will keep pretty much all of the income in a sense but I didn't have to invest any money on the book and they will distribute the book to bookshops and faires...I'll see how it will go, and maybe publish myself the next one :D

yes, it is a raw vegan book in Italian language! The first raw vegan one in my country!
I do have all kind of recipes in there actually, and a fabulous section of recipes from all over the world, courtesy from Cherie Soria , that have made the book really great!!

Frag,
I was able to understand most of your Italian and read it to hubby. What's the name of the book? Maybe my brother in law in Italy can look for it. Just remind us when it's finally out. So you are like a pioneer in Italy--paving the way for Italy to hit! Great!!! Are you featuring Manicotti, Pizza, Garlic Bread, Raviolli, Pasta in the book? What kind of nuts can you buy in Italy? My BIL has olives trees and has olives pressed for the oil. Excited for you.
Feel free to email me an Italian note. I'll have hubby translate.

Carolg,
I am still not so sure about the name of the book, I am sure the publisher will want to say something about it, but it may be Crudo: il libro del rawfood (raw food is getting more popular in Italy too). Si, sono una pioniera qui, essere raw è molto difficile, I am a pioneer here, but my website is getting quite popular, so there is some interest!
I don't have many italian recipes in my book, except for pizza and zucchini pasta. Italians are so proud of their foods that they wouldn't accept very much something that look-like-pasta but it is not pasta. If you try to cook a dish of pasta and you do not follow the traditional way to make it, people could go mad at you :D even if you don't use the right quantity of water to boil the pasta!! So I am not so so sure I want to go down that road!! But I may try in the future.
Tuo cognato è molto fortunato ad avere alberi di olive! Sono sicura che vive al sud. Io vivo a Venezia e qui fa troppo freddo per avere alberi di olive.
Qui posso trovare quasi tutti i tipi di noci, I can find almost any kind of nuts, except for macadamia and pecans. It is very easy to get hazelnuts, almonds and walnuts.
Ciao Carolg, saluta tuo marito da parte mia!
:)

How sad you can't get macs too easily! If you ever come to L.A., let me know, and I will take you to the grower I buy from here.
I think it's so wonderful that you are publishing a book for your country-people to reclaim their health!

Thank you RM!
I've actually bought some macs from the internet, but when I got them I have been not able to open them
 those nuts are soooo hard to crack!!! I did try with the hammer but no luck!! I am sure that there is a trick for macs, any clue? :)
If I come to L.A. I will surely ask you to take me to the grower, how cool!

I have a special "Macbuster" nutcracker, which looks and works like a traditional nutcracker, but has a little extra bit to it for greater leverage. Papa Bono, the grower I buy from engineered this one and you can see it and purchase it from his website, www.bonomacs.com
It works really well.
