I just got my order of figs from Vegan Man last week and they are delicious!
I like to just eat them as is, but since I have so many I would like to try a recipe.
Anyone have a good one?

Hi StudentforLife-I was going to respond with a few of my favorite date recipes (subject line) but I see figs are mentioned in your post? Just curious which (or both!) you'd like recipes for! And I love dates and figs just to eat as is too!

Does Vegan Man have a website?

Oops! Big DUH for me. I meant figs, not dates.
I would love to try some of your fig recipes, Cinnamon.
Vandy, Vegan Man posted about the figs for sale on this site, under classifieds. He ran out of figs after I bought them, but he told everyone that he would be getting more. I think he was also selling raw organic dryed apricots, too. I don't know if he has a website.

I usually use dates in dessert recipes but I think a mix with figs would work for most, just changing the flavor a bit. Here are a few recipes including figs that I haven't tried yet, if you try them out please let us know how they turn out!
Fig balls-(I didn't write down the source of this recipe, found it online though.)
10 oz dried figs
2 cups cashews or almonds or a mix (not soaked)
1/2 c raisins or currants
Pulse the above in a food processor until it forms a chunky paste. Form 1 inch balls (if you wet your hands periodically- it's a lot easier) and ground nuts or coconut (anything to keep them from sticking).
And this one from www.living-foods.com
Fig-Raisin Pudding
2 cups 2-day sprouted wheat and rye
1-1 1/2 cups black mission figs soaked overnight
1-1 1/2 cups raisins soaked in fig water for 1 hour
1. Put all ingredients in a blender, and puree until smooth.

Hi SFL - glad you are enjoying the figs!
I am currently working on a website.
I just posted a survey, requesting people's input about purchasing quality raw dried fruits and nuts in THIS THREAD. (http://rawfoodtalk.com/forum/showthread.php?p=205072#post205072)
You can also access the survey directly HERE. (http://freeonlinesurveys.com/rendersurvey.asp?sid=gxoud3r51novmx0237951)
