Back in May (pre-raw), I woke up one day with my left middle finger "asleep" or that tingly feeling you get when something is waking up. Sometime after that (and I can't tell you if it has been since I went majority raw in Sept or before that) I get these weird sensations on the surface of my arms and legs. It feels sort of like I have a mosquito on me, but I don't. It sounds like a nerve thing to me,but what do I know?
Has anyone else had this? Cause? Of course, B12 deficiency can look like this, but I can't imagine it is that, but if it is, what then?
Also, my eye twitches every now and then. I read this summer that it is a lack of calcium. Anyone have that? Usually when I feel that coming on I pop some almonds and it goes away for a while, but clearly I am not getting something I need.
Help!!!

I found this: http://www.diagnose-me.com/cond/C254143.html
I used to have the eye twitching when I was cooked vegan but I thought it was from lack of sleep.
If I were you I would take a b12 supplement, try to get more calcium from foods and make sure you are getting sufficient vitamin D.
Sesame seeds are an excellent source of calcium! Soak them with figs overnight and then grind the seeds and figs with water to make a calcium rich milk!

:) I've gone to the emergency room twice and the Urgent care once then on to a Neurogist who tested me and thought it might be "Restless Leg Syndrome" as it started happening in the late evening. Now my legs are not tingling like they were but i have it in my face around my mouth and in my hands and arms.
I started taking Vitamin B-12 which seems to help and more calcium/magnesium and when it gets to really bothering me i take som liquid valium for the nerves, what is causing it i don't know but i didn't have it when i ate cooked. I will not go back to eating cooked as i eat 90% raw now and love it.
I think it's a vitamin defiency but i may be wrong, it could also be a circulation problem from when i was eating a lot of grease and meat and dairy and my body has to repair itself.

I had that the past few weeks. I noticed it would happen when I ate cooked. It did start back even though I was raw. So I will have to see if it continues to stay away or not. I have been having bad brain fog too! My memory has been awful!

I've had it happen, it seems to come in spurts, and I've had them the most while raw. Sometimes it's two simultaneous electric shocks, one in my groin and one in my hand, as if it's one nerve that's connected getting shocked at both ends at the same time. Sometimes it's my left arm/hand tingling, going to sleep or going numb. I've had eyelid twitches, and my upper lip sometimes tingles and then goes numb. I think it's something related to nerves. I recently found out that I have mitral valve prolapse (where one heart valve doesn't close all the way) and it somehow causes weird symptoms in the nervous symptoms. Nerve twitches, numbness, tingling are very common among people with mitral valve prolapse - feeling like there's a fly, or crawly skin is a symptom I've heard lots of them mention. They say magnesium seems to help, so I've been taking that for a couple weeks, and I haven't had as many of the weird tinglings and twitches. I've also been taking calcium and a B-complex with B12, so that could be helping, too.
