I am going out to dinner tonight with some friends. This is my first time going out raw. I guess I will plan on getting a salad of some sort. That's not really the problem. The issue is I'm going to want a beer, martini, &/or wine. ;)
Am I going to kill my progress? I am just starting to feel really good...
Any advise?

Opinion:

-YOUR progress has everything to do with YOUR goals. Is your goal to drink? If so...go to town! If not, then you way not wish to do so.

-Suggestion: If you are there to spend time with your friends, I would suggest eating well before you leave the house. That will give you the option of simply not eating if you find the food unacceptable - and you won't feel compelled to eat (what you think are) poor food choices.

Hello there,

Alcohol really isn't healthy at all, as you know, I'm sure. Can you try substituting a seltzer water with some fruit juice? It will "feel" like a cocktail and look pretty.

All the best,

Mineral water. Don't feel deprived, but feel blessed to now have heard about another lifestyle.

wine is raw. yes, it has alcohol, but it's raw. red wine has a little more going for it than white in terms of antioxidants. If you'll enjoy it, I say one glass of a nice raw wine is not the end of the world.

LOL it doesn't combine well with salad though! So I'd have the wine say when people are having their appetizers, then the salad after while they're having their meal.

Don't have wine. It will set you back. Try to make some herbal iced tea or buy some kombucha at a health food store.

I agree with the others regarding NOT drinking. Don't set yourself back. You've just started feeling good? Then continue to do so. If you are truly there to see your friends, then enjoy them. Your body won't enjoy it if you drink.

I the past I have always been a little funnier, wittier, more open when I have had alcohol. I guess I have used this as my crutch.
Also, I have some anxiety in social situations and tend to be a bit of a "wallflower".
However, this has been my best friend since 5th grade so at least I won't have to worry about the sociallizing part. :)

Do your Hair up, Put on your Cutiest Clothes and concentrate on just being Cute. Alcohol doesn't make you witty, it makes you think you are witty. Alcohol is a Lier. But your Mirror will tell you the truth, YOU ARE CUTE...... SO RAWK IT..............
