Could any one help me? I am looking at hosting a fall themed dinner at my place for my family (5 of us). I am not a great cook and have never had anyone over. I would like to offer a variety of easy raw and/or vegan meals. My family is not raw or vegan so it would be cool to introduce them to different things.
I have made RP brownies (my brother and I love it). However my mom doesn't like lemon or coconut which takes away a lot of the dessert ideas I had.
Anyone have any ideas? Thanks tons! :D

Hi- do you have Alissa's book? If so-here are some favs that my non-Raw Family & friends adore.
Pesto Stuffed Mushrooms
Caesar Salad
Enchilada
watermelon soup
nacho cheese with flax crackers.veggies
This is just a few of my favs.

My parents loved the two things I fixed. One was the onion bread made into little squares and made into sandwiches with Swiss nut cheese, lettuce and tomato. The other was the nacho nut cheese dehydrated until thick and then packed into baby vegetables or chunks of vegetables like peppers and celery.
I tried a raw corn salad. My mom liked it. Nobody else did but me. Daughter loves eating raw corn on the cob. And fruit platters usually go over well, although some family members are very picky as to what fruit they will eat and not everyone likes fruit.

Actually- the watermelon soup that I recommended is not exactly Fall oriented-but I like it.
I do make the Pineapple-cuke gazpacho all the time as an appetizer. recipe is at this link

There are sooooo many recipes-it is hard to pick-but the ones I listed are some very SAD eater favs.Hope this helps.

For dessert you might make RawApple Pie. My family really likes it, they are not raw. I also make Caramel cookies with dates pecans and vanilla xtract in food processor. warm in dehydrator and top with almond butter or chocolate frosting:) Meals are always easy, stuffed portabellos or jalepeno poppers, quiche or a fall themed nut loaf with soaked cranberries? Good luck, this is my 1st raw thanks giving:) I hope I can withstand the stuffing:)

Thanks everyone! :D
Nope, I don't have Alissa's book. I have been reading her website for quite a while now. Her book is not at stores and so I haven't ordered it yet.
Juliebover- is the onion bread you are talking about the one in Rawvolution? I have that book and have been hearing people rave about it.
It's always nice to hear what recipes people have liked because I have tried both good and bad recipes.....
