View Full Version : Olives?
The only kind of olives I like are the black ones most commonly found in the can. I know we are not supposed to eat fruit or vegtables out of a can so can someone tell me what kind of olives those are that are canned and if I can buy them another way?
I tried kalmata (I think olives) that were out of a jar but they were way too salty.
THanks

A few days ago I got some bagged Botija olives from NFL. Yum! I ate about half a bag on the spot. They are not salty, though the Botilla olives in jars are. (Botija and Botilla are variants of the same word, which is related to bottle, but it isn't exactly a bottle. What "bottle olive" is supposed to mean, I don't know.)

I just bought some raw organic dried olives (NOTHING added) from www.Rawganique.com. They were absolutely AMAZING!!!!!!!! They tasted INCREDIBLE! :D They didn't taste salty at all.
They are nothing like the olives found in jars or cans or olives that are cured.
Truely a must try!!!
