When I explain the raw food diet to people and how nutritious it is, I want to make sure that I can back up my statements with good sources. Are there any medical journals or other books or write ups by people in the medical field that are available somewhere?

When I tell people something like,"We get protein from amino acids found in greens," I want to also tell people where I got that information.

I also want to learn about the more complex things too.

I just want to be a good representative for raw. :D

Have you read "The Live Food Factor" by Susan Schenck? I learned a lot in that one.

How about The China Study. Also heard a lot of good things about Doug Graham's upcoming 80-10-10 book, lots of factoids and such.

The China Study and The Raw Food Bible by Craig Sommers. He's loaded his book with lots of scientific research which is, for some reason, what many people want.

You can really go the other direction with that too.....and rather ask the other person if they can show scientific evidence that heating one's food improves the vitamin / mineral / nutrient / protient quality and bio-availability.....of the foods we eat.....which it certainly does not.
