Hello,
I do not see my post. I have found the new guys area. so another Howdie to everyone. I am here in Chicago. I have a goiter, and now due to green smoothies asymptomatic hyper-thyroidis,. I have not lost any weight though. I struggle with loosing 30-50 lbs. I am 5ft 8in. I do not really have an ideal weight. I want to feel good and look my best. I started doing triathlons when I found ot I had the goiter, and it also began with heart palpatations. I was pregnant with my fourth child. My third was only nine months. I had had three children three years apart. I gained 100 plus pounds each child but lost it in a two years time. From a young age I loved food, but mostly raw naturally. My mother had me young so we were granola type people, ate yogurt, and lots of fruit and always salad. i ate tons of cucumbers. I had not heard of raw foodist.
I saught out raw food when I heard it worked wonders with thyroid conditions. I still hold weight even with raw food. I am not 100 persent, but I am this month so far :) My children are open to raw food and my husband open to raw food also. he is not a good eater but he diislikes preparation even worse so he will eat what you put infront of him. So I struggle do to well busy life and will eat what is quick when I need to shop. Like now I am out of fruit and veggies. I will stop and shop. I would like support while I move closer to a raw life. Question, I use to bloat badly. No bloating with the green smoothies. but No weight loss either. I want weight loss. I run or walk ten miles 5 days a week fast walk slow run nothing in three weeks.
the doctors just say you are great you run swim and bike. i say every baby i lost all the weight until the last and I still have 40 pounds I want it gone, gone, gone.
I read about aliver cleasne any one know about this? :eek:

"First, Dr. Oz suggests that people walk for at least 30 minutes each and every day. "Walking is the foundation for all other exercises because it increases your stamina and prepares your body for strength training," he says. You should strive to walk 10,000 steps a day.

The second step is to build muscle by lifting weights for 30 minutes a week. You can lift a dumbbell, a gallon of milk or your toddlerÂ…just start lifting!

Now that you're on the right track, Dr. Oz says you have to work up a sweat for about an hour a week. "The number one predictor of how long you're going to live is how well you can exercise your heart," he says. "If you can push yourself to sweat for an hour a week, that's great. You can break it down into three little segments of 20 minutes each."

Finally, you have to stretch so that you don't get hurt. Dr. Oz likes to do yoga, but he says you can get the same benefits from stretches you learned in high school gym class."

Best to you and fabulous about that large family to my 2 only (my daugher is cautious in planning the perfect time in having more kids and time is kticking away. I don't dare with her ask questions. My son is having his first any day and it will be my only local grandbaby with plans for 2 or 3 total).

PATIENCE, my dear, RAW is no Magic bullet, everything needs time to acess the situation, go through your body and find what is leaking, what is rusted, see if new pipes are needed and THEN after that maybe everything will be ready to drop the fat.

I LOVE to remind people that this is a LIFESTYLE change. Can we CALM down and WAIT. Keep doing everything you are doing. Your day will come when ALL the pieces will fit. You are a BUSY Lady. Take some ME time to pamper and Love yourself. I know it won't be easy with the children BUT YOU MUST FIND THIS TIME.

Have you thought about Muscle weighing MORE than fat. If you are running 50 miles a week. I think you need to step up and pin that METAL on your Chest.

Do envolve the Children in food preperation. Make it a FUN time. Try to do a lot of prep work ahead, NO I did not say it would be easy. Let the Children help you do some Sprouting, they will love seeing the change in the seeds and it will also help with the grocery bill and they will SURLEY eat what they grew.

Now TAKE A BREATH and lets get this Party started...........

Hi Imani!

From what I understand, what you need for a thyroid condition is raw seaweed (my favorite is dulse). I haven't had a thyroid problem, though, so take that with a grain of Celtic sea salt. :)

Three weeks isn't long enough to tell if you are going to lose weight. I started losing immediately on going raw, but sometimes I lost nothing for three weeks. Also if your weight is due to your thyroid, the dulse will help.
