Hi everyone,
I have a couple questions for all of you out there. First i have been raw for just over 3 weeks and having bad cramps, diarrea (spell?), bad gas, and fatigue. Would anyone know what is going on. I also have not lost any weight. Weird?
Any info would be appreciated.

Hi Allison.. First of all, congratiolations to have made it raw! I'm sorry to hear about your problems though. What raw do you eat? How much raw do you eat and how was your diet before? You have probably heard of detox, could be it. The only other thing I can think of now is intolerence to something in your diet. For me, if I eat too many spices, my stomac will protest. Most often the cure for me is apples (my new and highly valued medicine). Good luck on your jouerney and I hope you soon will reap some of the benefits!

Nenyath,
First of all thank you so much for writing me back! I have been eating fruit until lunch (strawberries, bananas, kiwis, pineapple, etc.) I have been making things from Alissa's book, salads, nachos, guacomole, nut loaf etc.
My stomach is unsettled. I do know quite a bit about detoxing, not to long before i went raw, i did the Master Cleanse for 21 days. I did not eat horrible before but i had some junk here and there. I am so sorry if this sounds gross but i am getting pain before i have a bowel movement and during and it just doesnt feel like i got everything out (sorry!).! I guess i expected to lose weight and feel full of energy and that is nothappening??

Hi Allison,
I note that I have similar problems that when I take away all the heavy nut things I have less problems. Still problems, which I figure is my recovering from a terrible trip down the road to severe bowel problems, like I believe I had IBS before.
Except for the nuts everything else you are doing sounds just right on.
Keep looking for those replies out there, as there are lots of veterans on this board who are way helpful!

Thanks Nix,
I am also debating whether i should do another cleanse. I am just trying to get my bearings in the raw food world, so i thought about waiting to do a cleanse until after Christmas. Nix, did you try doing a colon cleanse? If so, did it work?
Thanks so much for your replies and support! It means the world.

Your most welcome! I can only agree with Nix, your diet seems really good! I had quite painful bowel movements too once, but that was back in my cooked days. It's no fun! Seems that the more raw and the simpler I eat, the smoother my bowel works..
