I finally found some of these and bought several packages. Kept one to eat as is and the rest are in the dehydrator. Prior to this the only cranberries I'd ever bought were Ocean Spray. I used some of those for my faux Sahale Snacks and was surprised at how quickly they dehyrdated. I soaked them in a date and water syrup. Perhaps that helped break them down a bit to speed the dehyrdation? Not sure.
I decided not to sweeten the organic ones. They've been in the dehydrator for about 24 hours now and only a few of the smallest ones are looking a bit shriveled. The others are still plump but warm.
One thing I noticed is how very different the taste is. The Ocean Spray ones were very tart. I was eating the plain ones and had about 1/2 cup of them. I got the first couple dozen down with no problems but after that, eating them was a chore and I began to feel unwell.
I was just reading a magazine article about cranberries. It said they are wonderful for detoxing quickly but because of this, it is important to get the organic ones. Otherwise you'll be adding pesticides or other things as you're trying to get rid of whatever is already in your system. Makes sense.
The organic berries taste MUCH better. Yes, there is a tartness to them but it's not a "slap you in your face" tartness like the others have. And the effect they have given me is near immediate. I'd been in a lot of pain from head to toe. Not sure why. Muscles cramped very badly. Very tired. I've eaten about 1/4 cup of them now and I can feel my muscles loosening and the pain melting away. I highly recommend these!

I LOVE raw organic cranberries! I've been enjoying them ever since they came into season here. mmm.. haven't tried dehydrating them. I just eat them raw in a cranberry sauce. Yum!~

I wanted to keep them for later in the season. I love them mixed with pecans or walnuts.

I love juicing fresh cranberries and beets together. The beets add a nice sweetness to the cranberries, and the cranberries add a nice tartness to the beets!
Be careful with this combo though; I do about one cup of cranberries and one beet only at a time because both are VERY cleansing! An overload can make you feel nauseated and light-headed not too long after it reaches your belly!

Juliebove,
Remember that anything that takes pain away instantly is not healing, it is merely diverting your body's energy away from what it's trying to accomplish with the pain (healing). So, it actually suspends healing.
Cranberries are not poison but they're clearly not the best human foods either. Their tartness indicates that they contain insufficient sugar to be food for us (sugar is our #1 nutrient need), and also contain acids that the body will have difficulty dealing with. This is why your pain stopped.
It's not important to know specifically why you are in pain, but the general reason is that you've been leading an unhealthy lifestyle for a very long time (as we all did, before we discovered how to be healthy). There's only one cure, and that is to stop those practices and patiently wait for your body to heal. Healing is slow. Drug effects, even if they are produced by substances we regard as "foods", are fast. Eating cranberries is better than taking aspirin, obviously, but anything that takes pain away is a compromise and should be seen as that, lest we fall into the trap of believing in "cures".
Best wishes,
Nora

I haven't been leading an unhealthy lifestyle. I do have fibromyalgia and the pain I was feeling was very much like fibromyalgia. I do not eat cranberries on a regular basis.
For what it's worth, the pain came back some hours later but to a lesser extent.

they sound great. I have still never been able to find organic cranberries. Where did you get them? fresh? frozen? is there a brand or contact info on the bag?
Many thanks.

Sorry, I didn't keep the bags they came in so I don't know the brand of them. They were on sale for $3 a bag at the local QFC grocery store. They are owned by Krogers so if you have any related stores in your area you might check there.

I am of a different opinion than Raw Nora, and I feel that we are blessed with many fruits, vegetables, herbs, and plants on the Earth that can greatly assist in our healing. Cranberries are one of those.
