Hey Exurb... Great idea to have a soup thread! :p

Your soup looks delish! It would be great for the Christmas holidays... when there are some wonderful pears in season.

Here's a simple spinach soup I make fairly often...

SPINACH APPLE SOUP: (serves 1)
2 C spinach leaves
1/2 apple peeled, chopped
1/2 C water
1/2 avocado peeled, chopped
1 tsp lemon juice
sea salt to taste
*Put water and apple in blender... blend smooth
*Add spinach... blend smooth
*Add rest of ingredients... blend smooth

SWEET POTATO SOUP: (from Rawsome by Brigitte Mars)
2 C sweet potatoes peeled, chopped
1 apple cored, peeled, chopped
1 C water
1 avocado pitted, peeled
1/2 tsp celtic salt
*Puree smooth

*Puree all ingredients in Vitamix...

CREAM OF ZUCCHINI SOUP: (from Raw Food Cuisine)
1/2 C water
1 C chopped zucchini
1 stalk celery chopped
1 Tbl lemon juice
1 tsp mellow white miso
1 clove garlic crushed
1/4 tsp sea salt
dash cayenne

1 Tbl minced dill or 1 tsp dillweed
*Add all ingredients except last three (olive oil, avocado, dill) blend smooth

I don't know, I have weird taste buds...lol...but this is what got me through getting my tooth pulled this week. It's a very smooth, puree soup, but it's fabulous to me.

Smooth Sweet and Salty Pea Soup (Gotta give it a catchy title! LOL) :D

peas
nutritional yeast
kelp
sea salt
black pepper
celery seed
a small pinch of cayenne pepper
very small amount of water

Blend until completely smooth. It's very thick and creamy...with the cayenne it warms you from the inside like warm soup would. ;) Hope someone can use this.

Star,
Thanks for sharing. My great friend is Brigitte Mars, Rawsome, book. All her stuff is fabulous and I am lucky she also comes to our rawlucks. How can I describe her: warm, kind, compassionate, caring, tender, a back to basics herbalist and everything good. Just a little behind the scenes here to share behind the name with the book but author of many books. brigittemars.com

Just a little more insight on raw Brigittte and her famous raw daughter Rainbeau Mars.

Brigitte is like an angel. Her daughter is raw, rainbowmars.com or rainbeaumars.com, an actress, well known yoga teacher among stars, a mother, good friends with David Wolfe, on his book cover, etc. Email me if you have further questions. I will pass compliment to Brigitte. She even lived in a tent, was a hippie way back and still appears that way as most of my friends are in our raw community.
