Hi all,

I have been vegan for a year and enjoyed raw foods. I never intended on becoming all raw, however I became more raw by doing a few weeks of boxed raw food delivery. I picked up Alissa'a book at my local raw food restaurant this weekend and was inspired to give it 30 days. I am on day 3. So far so good! Glad to have found such an active forum.

Hope you enjoy Alissa's book. My favorite recipe in her book and one I make almost daily --> Dr. Doug's Shake on pg 537 (yummy, simple, delicious, nutricious and easy to clean up). As Alissa says, make sure the bananas are really ripe...

Best wishes on your journey... it gets easier the more you do it :-)

Cheers,

RAW, RAW, RAW. you are on your way. Now what else can we talk about, you have already done everything I was going to tell you to do.

Being Vegan makes it sooo easy for you. What is Boxed RAW Food Delivery? Is it like a Co-op?

Welcome! Spicyfull - I think that what she is referencing is on the recent thread here titled "The BOX" (I think). What a way to get into raw!

Thanks everyone!

I did try "the box" once before I decided to try to make things on my own. But before that I did something very similar, but done by a guy here in San Francisco who owns a raw food restaurant (parawdise). His food was amazing and SO much better than "the box". Especially since he hand delivered it and it wasn't all soggy. The only problem was he was really flakey and unreliable and basically just stopped showing up. But I'm excited to learn how to make it all on my own. :D
