Hey there! I'm a recent 21 year old college lady and have been a vegetarian for 6 years and saw a Raw Food Diet book in the library, picked it up and have decided to give it a try. I'll be starting within the week, just bought a lot of fresh veggies and such, but will be transitioning for a period of time.
Does anyone have a break down of their day eating wise? I know it's fairly specific (at least to how I eat now :p ) Or point me to a place to go with some recipes.
Thanks so much!!

Hi and Welcome,
There are lots of great resources on the internet. This site is hands-down the most user-friendly forum I've seen. Lots of recipes here. The format of the forum is easy-on-the-eyes and there's always someone here to offer up support and their assistance.
Check out the recipes here and also visit all the sites that folks recommend here. Start reading people's posts and collecting information. If you can, go to the library and devour books on Raw Food and Health and Fitness. www.vegsource.com is also an excellent resource. I also recommend the hallelujah acres program as a resource --> http://www.hacres.com That site has many useful articles -- (however, that program encourages 15% cooked). Although, I like the 100% RAW, the Hallelujah Acres program is a great resource even if you go all raw.
Google "Raw Food Health" and other health topics.
Alissa's book and DVD are great tools for a transition diet into a healthy lifestyle.
Read as much as you can and decide for yourself your own RAW journey.
We're all learning here and helping each other as much as possible.
Hope some of this helps,
Gil

You might want to check the journals to find out what folk are eating. There's also quite a few threads here already on that.
Google "raw food recipes" for sites.
AND, get Alissa's book and DVD's.
For me, I eat what I want whenever I want long as it's raw.

You have already recieved some great advice. I would keep it simple by eating fruit whenever you are hungry. Chop those Veggies in the food processor and put them in indivual containers and when you get hungry place portions in a bowl, add some raisins, olive oil and Apple Cider Vinager.
Eat whenever you become weak. Hunger will have a new signal. Its not that difficult coming from a vegetarian LifeStyle as I did.
So glad you found us and are a new member of our beautiful Family. I look foward to following your progress. Do keep us posted and don't forget to ask for help if you get in trouble.
I wish you everything you need to Stay RAW........Welcome to MY World..

Welcome Stephyshim! I am very new also to this but I am learning that there are different stages of raw - or different types of raw - by looking at what various people on here eat. I think a good place to start is whatever raw item you are salivating for. If you are not hungry for it - don't eat it.
