I've read in some prior post by Rockinglocks that she had her Candida cleared up by going raw and Not cutting out raw fruit. Candida has been a problem for me for a very very long time, since I was 13 I believe so I'm a very chronic case. (according to some sources Candida and cancer are related, which may be since I've got both). I'm very curious indeed how long it takes to clear up Candida with raw foods. I know it's different for everyone but whoever had the experience with that - please share! By the way today was my 1st raw day. The easiest way to start I've noticed is by going without food at all for a day prior to that. It really brings out the flavor of raw foods then.

A friend of mine just spent a week with someone with severe candida and chronic fatigue. After a week on high fruit/high greens/low fat she climbed a mountain and has no symptoms of candida. It's very possible!

Hi there,

I second that! You should definitely go on a high fruit, very low fat (no oils, nuts, seeds or avocados) approach. Your candida will go away very quickly (a few days to a few weeks at the most). Check out Dr Graham's FAQ section about fruit and fat and sugar issues at www.foodnsport.com

All the best,

Thank you so much for your responses. Why low fat though? I haven't heard that one before. I thought Candida thrives on sugar. I'm very defensive as I just got done eating pine nuts which are very fatty, good fat of course.

Irisha,

You are going to find that there are different theories on clearing up candida - some experts say to rid of all sugars; some say to rid of all fat because it's the fat in conjuction with the sugar that causes the problem.

But then there are those of us (I say us because this was my personal experience) who simply went raw...no restrictions, no cutting out anything and it cleared up. I had candida that showed itself in my body both vaginally (chronic yeast infections) and orally (thrush - red and/or white, blotchy patches in the inside of the lip, on the tongue and sides of the jaw) and both cleared up from eating raw plain and simple. I ate nuts, I ate sweet fruit - the only time my thrush or vag. infections would flair back up was when I ate cooked foods.

But not everyone has that kind of experience - you have to try different things and see what works for YOU...try just eating raw...if that doesn't do the trick, try cutting out fats...if that doesn't work, try cutting out sugar. (not necessarily in that order)

Totally agree Rawkinlocs... it's all about getting back to health, which ever way that takes you!

Cheers,

I've tried it several ways. Well, they all seem to do the trick. I do 2 cleanses a year along with parasite cleanse.

When I first heard of limiting fats, I thought it was backwards because of everything else I'd been told. My best advice would be to try it both ways for a couple of ways.....I've noticed that fruit doesn't make my candida worse (mine shows as a chronic skin infection) but when I consume nuts on a daily basis....itch, itch, itch...and lots of inflamation. It took me checking it out for myself.
