I don't want to upset anyone by questioning this, as I am the first person to want 100% raw to be the way (and I DOOOO believe it is).

But, if b-12 is necessary for us, and is only found in animal products... what does that mean? What is Alissa's or Dr. graham's take on b-12?

I guess the best way is to just wait for a defficiency and hope one never comes :) I hope someone has an answer to support veganism - this question has just been on the back of my mind, and I am wondering what the wonderful friends on this board think about the subject!

~Cheers!

This is Alissa's info from this forum, under Want to know more about raw

as far as Dr. Graham, he is not connected to this site, so you would have to ask him directly.

SG,

Have you read the "Want to know more about Raw" forum articles here on Alissa's forum? Just click the Forum choicebox and choose this forum to view Alissa's take on this issue.

As for Graham, check out http://www.vegsource.com/talk/raw/index.html and his website http://www.foodnsport.com.

Me personally, I take a small amount of B12 every other week or so or even sometimes just once a month.

There's lots of information out there on B12 and many posts here in this forum too. Its something that we each have to decide for ourselves after we read all the studies.

Cheers,
Gil

Thanks RP and Fiddler, (and sorry about asking about Dr. Graham, I should have been more sensitive to the fact that this is Alissa's site)

I actually HAD read that before, so I guess that should have answered my questions- even though the debate over b12 goes on and on!

Thanks again :)
