Hi. I really don't post -- I just lurk but I feel obligated today to make this post, for you guys have done so much for me.

I can't believe how fast 10 months went by! I started January 1st 2006 and made raw food my new year's resolution (I was vegan then). I started 100% raw for 4.5 months and then started eating cooked food 2-3 times a week for 4 months and now I am back 100% since the last 30 days. It's been a rollercoaster ride but I have never felt so good so true being 100% raw. Here's what I experienced so far :

Additictions go away - for me it was caffeine, alcohol, and pornography.
I lost 10 pounds - from 138 to 128 lbs.
Say goodbye to dry skin and dandruff!! You must be patient -- it took me about 3.5 months.
I have a constant glow on my face.
Waistline went down from 30 to 28. (I have to buy new clothes -- all my pants fall down!)
I lost alot of muscle -- regardless of what people say, no matter how much I ate or exercised -- my muscles still shrank -- not necessarily a bad thing.
No more pain anywhere! I used to have so much pain on my right foot. Now it is negligable.
Last year my blood pressure use to be 120/80 (normal) -- now it is 90/70 (phenomenal!) My body feels very still when I sit down. Also when I speak, my enunciation feels very controlled and every word I say has emphasis and meaning (i'm sure other raw fooders will know what i'm talking about).
My average resting heart rate is 52 bpm.
Hair, nails grow very very fast.
Body feels very stretchable -- also my reflexes are very fast.
My asian straight hair took a new direction -- it started to curl and wave. I made a post about this months ago.

I think most importantly, I've been feeling very attractive and other people have sense this from me. For example, just last Sunday, a Sak's Fifth salesperson gave me 20% off a $250 pair of jeans (and it wasn't even on sale).

Anyway for those who have doubts there are treasures to be found if you partake in this raw food journey. I'm glad I did. I wish I had a before picture.

Anyway this is how I look now.

Yes I read your post before about your hair changing. Thank you for coming back and updating us. We need more guys to share about raw! (So we can get our husbands into it) I especially like to read about the changes that you noticed in other areas like the enunciation - things like that really help newer ones like me get the big picture and stay focused.

GREAT SHOTS in your Flickr. I use to be into photography. Your photos make me want to go to a pawn shop and find a good old 35mm and get going again.

Anyway can I copy Peppers' picture into my blog??? I'll note that the cat is yours and give you credit. I've been debating on wether or not to buy hubby a cat for his BDAY next month and wanted to blog about it, plus I like your cats color, though he looks a bit peturbed in the pic. LOL :D

LiftAgif,

Of course you can post a link in ur blog about Peepers!! Peepers is one grumpy cat. Her hair color in certain light is blue-gray. Her eyes are yellow/orange. She is pretty! The downside is that she is not that friendly toward humans. I adopted her at a cattery that specializes in British Shorthairs. When Peepers was younger, she used to be a showcat.

Moonstone,

I was born in Manila, Phillipines. Alot of people mistake me for Mexican, Japanese, Thai, or Peruvian. When I get alot of sun, my skin turns a golden red brown (I attribute to the raw food diet) and it becomes hard to tell where I'm from -- then they think I'm a mix of two cultures.

wow I'm so happy people like my photography -- I work so hard to understand the technical details of a camera and lens that I feel all the knowledge is paying off and the camera is becoming an extension of my eye..

I'm actually looking for some raw foodist in the nyc area who want to be guineu pigs for head shots/portraits -- similar to the first pic you guys saw of me. I do alot of landscape, travel, reportage type photography but I'm actually more interested in photographing people -- "getting inside their heads" type photos. If you're interested, email me at acarlay@gmail.com.
